Friday, two days since that meet up with her friends.

This day held importance to her.

It was her father's death anniversary, the eighth one to be precise.

It had been eight years since her father passed away.

They usually say children are the closest to the mother.

But what about those who lost their mothers?

She was one of them.

Her mother has died giving her birth.

But unlike some people,  her father never considered her a burden for him.

Her father and mother, he became both of them,

Never making her feel the absence of a mother.

He was a farmer, a simple man who worked day and night for his loved ones.

He never overly pampered her, neither was he too strict.

He was a friend when needed, but never forgot the duties of a father.

Instead of blaming her as the reason his wife passed away,

he thought Seungwan as someone his beloved wife considered worthy enough to sacrifice her life for.

And that was the value of his daughter in his eyes.

Invaluable.

She was his life and after her birth he took it upon himself to make her a good person.

She was good in her studies, never a slacker.

It wasn't like she wanted to be a scholar or something, she knew her dream was to be a singer,

But the only reason she tried so hard with her studies was to see the surprised smile on her father's face everytime she showed him her report card.

He never pressurized her to study, instead what he pressurized her was to become a good person, so.

According to him, she resembled her mother a lot in appearance,

but he wanted her to be beautiful inside out, like her mother.

He never once thought about remarrying , and in the process of looking after his daughter, the man forgot to look after himself.

She knew that and wanted to take care of him, but she was too young at that time.

He let her pursue her dream, even went as far as letting her leave for Seoul.

She was in the second year of her college when she met Junhoe.

He had even got the blessings from her father.

They were madly in love.

That was also around the time when her father was diagnosed with bone cancer stage 1.

Her life suddenly changed in a twist.

And at the same time, Junhoe got kicked out of his house by his local guardian, an uncle of his who was looking after him since his parents death.

He was penniless and she took the decision of taking him in with her.

She worked hard to pay for both of themselves she didn't let Junhoe work, fearing it will affect his studies.
