Chapter Four

Mitsuki cleaned the mess that was made during their scare and took the baby from Izuku so he could eat.  After a stressful breakfast, Inko managed to get a slot with a pediatrician for the afternoon to check the kids over and to give them an idea of how old the children might be. All while Katsuki got ready to head to work.

        "Are you heading to work?" Katsuki asked Izuku who was loading the dishes into the dishwasher.

         "I messaged Todoroki that I wouldn't be going in today. I want to go with our parents to the doctors to check on them, but before that, I need to run out and get them clothes to wear," Izuku said overwhelmed when thinking about everything the children needed.

          Katsuki sighed. "Whatever. See you later," he muttered.

           "Papa, where you are going?" Junior turned from the television and hurried over to him.

           Katsuki sighed again. "Out," he responded irritatedly.

           "I come?" the boy said with a huge smile.

            "Hah? No!" Katsuki replied turning away from him. Junior was shocked; he looked at Izuku sadly holding out his hand for Izuku to scoop him up.  Katsuki looked, rolled his eyes and left closing the door without saying goodbye to anyone.

        Izuku frowned, as he looked down at the confused little person, who was probably wondering what he had done wrong to upset Katsuki. 

         "Hey cheer up. Kacchan just has to go to work," Izuku told him.

         "Kaaaa...cchan?" the boy repeated.
          "I think you should stick to calling him papa," Izuku said smiling.

          "When papa come back?" he asked sadly.

          "In a few hours, but tonight you and your siblings are going to stay with grandma. Exciting right?"  Izuku said, changing his voice to sound thrilled when deep down his soul wasn't.

         "No," the boy said unhappily. "I stay with papa!" he muttered hugging him tightly.

         Izuku frowned and glanced at the parents.

        "Just give Katsuki time," Masaru said to Izuku.

         Izuku nodded, but he knew in his heart that with Kacchan, time could be years from now. For example, Katsuki graduated U. A knowing he was madly in love with him only to confess these feeling eight years after during a mission.

        When he looked down at the boy in his arm and the little girl who sat in front of the tv screen and the baby with his mother, he wished time was happening now.

The moment Katsuki stepped outside of his apartment building, Katsuki felt like he could finally breathe freely again. As if there was a massive brick on his chest, that he couldn't remove on his own, was lifted.

         It was much colder than yesterday, the sky cloudy as if expecting to snow.  Katsuki wore his usually which was a sweater over his shirt and jeans. A casual business style he learned to appreciate since interning with Best Jeanist.

        When the cold seemed to penetrate his clothing notably, Katsuki's wondered if he should go back for a coat? When the anxiety he felt before started to rebuild at the thought, he kept walking taking out a face mask to wear.

          Katsuki's life had rapidly changed in a matter of hours without his control. Not having power over his own life choices was something he couldn't mentally accept.
