After the destruction of Asgard, Loki was doubtful about coming back to earth. Though his brother knew he had changed and is no longer a threat to earth but Loki knew that people wouldn't be that forgiving and accepting on earth. So when he arrived on earth, he thought of disguising himself to a form which made him look like one among the mortals, it was quite different than how he looked as Loki when he came down to conquer earth. His mortal form had pinkish colour to his skin instead of his original pale look and ginger hair instead of black.
He wanted to give a different identity to himself, not because he was scared of anyone but only because he wanted peace. He didn't like people bothering him and interfering in what he does, and the other Avengers and Shield would never want a danger like him living on earth. Though Thor assured him that nothing as such will happen and he would talk to them but Loki knew them all better, especially Shield, and no matter how much they may pretend to trust him, they would definitely have their people ready to spy on his every move or suspect his every activity.
He always had his plans ready and prefered relying on them alone, so here he was living on earth in his mortal form with a new identity..

Thor was more than happy to see his brother in his mortal form. He looked much nicer and kinder than his original form.
It was difficult for him to leave his old life and start a new on earth. He tried different jobs but couldn't find anything fitting him. After all he was never made to be ruled.
Slowly and steadily he started his own business, which seem to suit his likes and he started working hard for it. Though he wasn't very successful at first, he did made his place for himself in the business world gradually.
While his struggle for a career on earth was on going, he met a girl named Y/n and neither Loki, nor Y/n ever thought that their paths would cross and they would be quite inseparable. Their friendship transformed swiftly into a romantic one..
One day, Loki did tell her everything about his true identity to her and though initially he was too anxious and fearful that it may end their relationship but to his delight, y/n , though she freaked out initially, later on accepted him for what he was.
Y/n and Loki were deeply in love with eachother and soon after few years of dating, got married to eachother. It was the happiest day of their lives. All happened too soon for them, it was as if they were in a fairy tale. Both Loki and Y/n were over the moon to have one another in their lives.
It was after a few years, that their lives started changing gradually. Loki and Y/n indeed loved eachother but the communication between them became lesser and lesser. Y/n was very disturbed by it but never really talked about it. He always used to be late while returning home and would hardly talk to her. Whenever y/n tried to ask him about his day, he would always say that he was tired and showed least interest in the conversation. He would mostly just reply in one or two words to whatever she says.
Loki's changed behaviour was killing y/n. She did ask him a few times about it but he either made excuse about work or just ignored the question.
Y/n was really worried about their relationship but mainly Loki, as she watched him leave silently. She looked down from the window as he took long strides towards his car, his face serious like always it was these times. She missed his smile, his laugh, the mischief and love in his eyes, the way he used to look at her like before, their endless conversation, him being funny and childish at home and acting sophisticated and classy whenever they were outside.
It made y/n laugh when all the fun memories came flooding in.
She wanted to know what was wrong or is this just normal what all married couples go through? Certainly not, she thought. Or was she just over thinking and its just work pressure which he is dealing with. Maybe.
She sighed, she worked too and she knew how terrible and stressful it can get but unlike him, she prefers sharing it with friends and family. But not everybody deals with it the same way, she shrugged and let all her negative thoughts go away from her mind.
How could she ever think that he can stop loving her? This was her Loki, she loves him and he loves her. She mentally scolded herself for thinking anything different than that. Maybe its just a phase where he needs her support and understanding. And if thats what he needs then she will be aways there for him.
