                          ~Amor's POV~

"So I can kiss you whenever I want now," Adriel says, opening the car door for me. I turn towards him before getting in.
"No, you can't." I get in and he closes the  door, running around to the other side. So much has happened within the last few days that it's completely drained me. No mater how much sleep I get, which isn't enough for anyone, I wake feeling the same. It almost feels like an out of body experience.
"Yeah, I can," he says, not dropping the subject. "And I kind of want to kiss you right now." I don't make any moves, looking out the window. He sighs, starting the car and pulling out of his spot. Looking back at him, I lean over and kiss his cheek. He grins, face heating up. I can't deny it; it's cute. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." Once we're out of the school parking lot I feel more relaxed. Just the sight of a lot of people in one area makes my blood pressure spike. "I'm sorry for being rude to Julia at lunch."
"I don't care about that. It's about time someone talked back to her," he says. "But I just didn't think it would be you."
"I didn't talk back to her-"
"You kind of did; jealously is hot on you," he says teasingly. I roll my eyes, brushing my hair back. "Everything is hot on you though."
"Please stop," I say, my face as red as a tomato. I don't get how girls can handle being complimented; it makes me uncomfortable. "You wouldn't like it if I did that to you." He laughs.
"Oh yes I would. I would love it. I'm a cocky mother fucker that needs my ego fed." I chuckle, shaking my head.
"I'm not gonna feed it," I tell him. He sighs. "But you are very handsome."
    "Just fed it."

He stops the car and unbuckles himself. I look back at him, grabbing my bag. "What are you doing?" I ask as he gets out.
"I need to talk to your dad about something," he says. Oh no. "Let's hope I don't die within the next ten minutes." Let's pray you don't. We walk up the lawn and inside, immediately becoming ten degrees cooler. My dad comes in from the backyard, stopping in his tracks when he sees Adriel. "Hi, Mr.Florencio."
"Adriel," he says. I thought he said he liked him. I look up at Adriel, who needs extremely nervous.
"Can I talk to you? Alone for a minute?" He asks. I look between them, not sure if that's a good idea. My dad shrugs, opening the sliding door again. "I'll be back. Maybe."

                       ~Adriel's POV~

I follow Amor's dad to the backyard, my hands shaking at my side. I don't know how to do any of this boyfriend stuff; I know only from what I've seen. She's close to her dad, so I would assume she would want to know he's okay with her being with me. If he's not, then...well today was a waste.
"Start talking," he says, crossing his arms.
"I-I just wanted to ask you something," I say, accidentally showing how nervous I am. "I really like Amor, and I think I've been very obvious about that. She's very close to you and I know she would want to know that you're comfortable with us being together." His eyes narrow as his arms drop to his sides.
"So you're asking for my blessing to date my daughter?" I nod, looking at him anxiously. He looks mad, pissed off actually, but that could just be his face; every time I've seen him he looks angry. "This isn't the nineteen fifties."
"N-no, but I just wanted to make sure you were okay with it." He chuckles, shaking his head at me.
"No one is good enough for her, and I mean no one, but whoever can make her feel the smallest bit of happiness I'm okay with.  Just know that if you hurt her, I will do worse to you than your father ever can." I swallow down the lump of fear in my throat. I don't think for a second that he's joking about that at all.
"I don't want to hurt her." He takes a deep breath.
"Good. Also, door open at all times when you're up there with her. I know how guys like you work, I was you, I'm not stupid." I nod again, going back inside. Looking at him for permission to go upstairs, he shoos me off.
The hallway has pictures on the walls that I never looked at before. Most of them are family ones. In every one where Amor is young she's sporting a huge smile, but the ones where she's older, maybe fourteen, it's gone. Most are candid, but look professionally done. Talk about a photogenic family.
I turn to her room, finding her looking out her window. She turns around, hair loving her to her back. I walk in, leaving the door cracked open, then opening it further, then closing it little more.
"What are you doing?" She asks.
"Your dad said to leave the door open. I don't know I don't know how much." Walking over, She close so how I did the first time. "Thanks." She sits down on the bed, waiting for me to say something. "I talked to your dad."
    "I know. About what?"
"You," I tell her. "I just wanted his blessing to be with you; I don't want to take my chances." She smiles, surprising me. It's the most genuine one I've seen from her when she's not laughing.
"Thank you," she says. "It's means a lot to be that you would ask him." I shrug, sitting down next to her. She lays down on her back, looking up at the ceiling. I do the same, looking at the painting. "My mom did it; she thought it would help me sleep if I focused on the lines for long enough."
"It's pretty," I say, looking back at her. "So what are your plans for after school?" I ask.
"College; I want to get into writing and punishing," she says. "What about you?"
"Army," I say. Her eyes widen. "What?"
"Are you being serious?" I nod. "And I'm the suicidal one?"
"I know it's dangerous, but I've thought about it since I was little." She nods, closing her eyes. I can tell she doesn't like the answer, but no one has been able to change my choice. "You tired?"
"Extremely." She turns her body towards me, letting me pull her to my chest. Her hand wraps around me, body pressed against mine. "Can you wake-" The bedroom door swings open and her little brother steps in, stopping when he sees us.
"DAD! THERES A BOY IN AMOR'S ROOM! DO I KILL HIM!?" Great.

AN: Ugh, I love Santi, I have some plans for hiiiimmm. I really love how their relationship is going. I really hope you guys enjoyed!
Question: How do you feel about Adriel's choice? What do you think of their relationship? Also, should I make a playlist for this story? I've been saving songs for it just in case.
