~Adriel's POV~"You look like shit," Marcus says when I get to class. I nod, taking my books out. There's no use in lying that I look like shit because I do. I have bruises on my arms and face, my lip is split straight down the side. "What did the other guy look like though?"
"Like fucking hell," I say with a grin.

"Just looking at you makes me physically hurt," Nina says, examining me. I look around for Amor, trying to see if she's coming over here. "She's in the library." I snap my head down towards Nina whose grinning. "I take it your date didn't go so well?"
"No, it did. I fucked it up afterward," I tell her. She groans, crossing her arms. "I'm gonna go to the library then; I-I need some books." Marcus starts making thrusting motions at me as so run down to A Hall. Inside the library, it's a lot colder than I was expecting since it's hot outside and not many classrooms have air conditioning.
I search through the rows of books until I find her sitting in the YA fiction section on the ground against the self. Her eyes scan over the page. Her lips moving slowly as she reads. I've never seen her looks so relaxed, even when she's with just me. Is it bad to say I'm jealous of a book?
"What are you doing here?" She asks, finally noticing she's not alone. I sit down across from her against the opposite self.
"I just wanted to see you," I tell her. She turns her attention back to the book. "What are you reading?"
"A book."
"I can see that," I say. She closes the book and hands it to me. "Outlander. Never heard of it." Her eyes suddenly widen when she really looks at me. "What? Do I have something on my face?"
"Yeah, bruises. What happened to you?" She says in horror, coming closer and examining my face, gently gripping my chin to turn my head back and forth.
"I'm fine," I say. "This time, I'm the one who inflicted this on myself. You should have seen the other guy though; this is nothing in comparison. I'm not the one who got a concussion." Her brows pinch together. "I just got in a fight."
"With who?"
I pause, trying to remember the guy's name. "I don't know, he had some stupid nickname like the rest of the idiots do." She looks extremely confused.
"What do you mean others? You do this on purpose?" She asks. I nod.
"Ever heard of street fighting?" Her hand drops from my chin. "It's not that bad."
"It's illegal."
"So is trying to avoid me during lunch."
"No. It's not."
"Well, it should be." She rolls her eyes, sitting back where she was. "I don't do it for fun."
"What other reason is there for you do it? You go through enough pain from what you told me, so why go through more? It doesn't make sense," she says, clearly mad at me. I'd rather her be mad at me then simply not talking to me.
"That's why I do it, the situation pisses me off so I punch people; I technically told you this that night in the car. If I didn't, I'd lose my temper all the time. It's just a release."
"Ever heard of a punching bag?"
"Do you get paid a lot of money to punch a punching bag? No. I save what I get from winning so after I can get the fuck out of that house." Her expression softens as she comes to an understanding. My eyes fall down to her hands; they're red and blistered. "What happened to you?"
"While you were beating up people, I was beating up a tree with a bread roller."
"What happened?" She shakes her head.
"I don't want to talk to you about that," she says, her voice gets harsh again. I almost forgot about our situation. She won't be opening up to me anytime soon.
"Yeah, I'm sorry."
"It's fine," she says. "I just need some time." I nod, handing her back the book.
"Can you promise me one thing though?" I ask. She shrugs. Now we're back at the struggling stage. "Even if you're not trusting me like you were, if you need to talk to someone and it's serious, you'll come to me? You won't go hurting yourself."
"My suicidal ass promises, I will." This sarcastic little angel.AN: Oooo he's slowly letting her in more and more. Honestly, I'm so excited for a scene that's going to be coming up soon in a few chapters and you'll either hate it or love it. I really hope you guys enjoyed!
Question: How do you feel about his fighting?
