Back at the fisherman's village, Silvannas picked the physician up and laid him on the one remaining table in the room.
While the others were taken back by the seemingly raw strength of the soft spoken woman, Evenharth found himself pleasantly impressed as she displayed strength like that of his commander Cecilee.
"I'm going after it, please watch over William while I'm gone." She said while looking up at the men who had stormed in.
One of the of men spoke up reassuring her that the physician would be cared for in her absence. He said that his wife has some medical experience, though she's only worked on people's pet and injured nearby wildlife.
"Thank you." the cleric replied.
"Silvannas wait." Evenharth interjected as she headed towards the door. "I came here looking to ask for your help, sure we could chase that thing down but if we stop Krinx, we'd help a lot more people and something like this would never happen to anyone ever again."
The cleric stood in silence while staring at the door as the men began trickling out of the room one by one. She took a deep breath while turning to face the spell-fighter.
"That name... I haven't spoken it in so long.. nor have I heard it. When the people speak of him, he's referred to as the Dark Assassin. I know who they're referring to and when I hear it I get the urge to go back."
"Why didn't you? I mean... no member of your unit returned that day."
"I'm sure everyone has questions, no more than the king himself. That mission changed everything. I'd rather answer the question once though as I'm sure it'll be asked again once we reach Faxon."
Evenharth smiled at Silvannas in gratitude. He felt good having accomplished his mission and successfully recruiting the legendary cleric who once fought alongside Krinx.
Understanding that Cavell's mission was far more dangerous and required a delicate touch to deal with the samurai's reported mental state, he asked the cleric if she would accompany him on a short detour to Enin Valley.
"Evenharth, It would be my pleasure to accompany you and help in any way that I can. However.. before I can do so.. and provide my full focus on stopping Krinx, we must find Wendy and her daughter so we can tell them what happened." she said while looking over at the puddle of blood and flesh where their loved one once was.
"I understand... and that's beyond fair Silvannas. I wouldn't want them coming back to this nightmare and finding out the hard way."
"Thank you, as I recall they said that they were going to the Trade District."
Now Evenharth himself looked down at table one last time before he and Silvannas set out, "Yes that's correct... when I ran into them outside the gates, they mentioned going there so Dawn her could surprise her dad with his favorite pastry when he woke up..."
Meanwhile
With the battle well underway, Thengol now understood why he found Chri struggling with such a tough situation when he first arrived. While Chri and Scorn felt the battle's duration taking effect and them both virtually out of the fight, Thengol tried coming up with a plan to finish off Soren.
"As dim as the situation seems, I'm glad you showed up when you did." Chri said while breathing heavily.
"Heh, at this point I'm no longer sure it was such a bright idea to show up at all. By the way, the names Thengol." he jokingly replied.
Chri grinned and nodded, "Well Thengol, I haven't heard anyone joke in the face of danger for quite some time. You and Slarant would have gotten along great. And the name's Chri."
