With the truth behind Ishnero and the Donshi revealed, they began planning their next move. Alliances have been made between ancient rivals as well as heroes of old and new, the moment of reckoning was drawing near.
"Well this just keeps getting better and better." Naitosai said snarkily.
Cavell let out a huge sigh, catching everyone's attention, "Since no one else will say it, I will."
"Huh?" replied Thengol.
"It's already been proven that even those that have ascended are no match for Krinx, who can say for sure that Curran will even be able to take him down?"
"You say that as if everyone is depending on me." the samurai responded.
"Well yes we are, seeing as you're the only..." Cecilee began to say as Thengol looked at her and quickly cut her off.
"If we come up with a good plan to balance out our forces against his, we should be fine."
She glared at him, clearly unhappy with being tossed aside.
"I'll get right on it, I think I'm done acting on instinct for a while." Evenharth said as he sat up in bed looking down at his bloody shirt, having heard the entire conversation.
"Hey, good to have you back man." Chri said cheerfully.
"Heh, thanks."
Cecilee grinned, "Quiet as a mouse like always."
"Kind of hard to swallow." he said looking at Thengol.
"What's that?" Jasmine asked as she began taking Evenharth's vitals.
"That we're about to put our lives on the line with the most notorious man in all of history." the spell-fighter replied.
Thengol crossed his arms and looked around the room, "As I said before, Ishnero died hundreds of years ago. I really wish that those close to me would see me as the man they've come to know."
Curran began to walk out of the room, before disappearing into the hall he yelled back, "Remember Ishnero, once this is over it's me and you."
"Where are you going?" Llaw asked.
"To get out of these rags and shower if that's alright with you."
"Curran, I'd rather the rivalry between the ninja and samurai stay dead." Thengol humbly stated.
"When I'm through with you it will be." he assured him right before vanishing into the hall.
"Best. Team. Ever!" chuckled Slarant as Jasmine looked at him rolling her eyes yet again.
"Hold on a sec, you said that you were to protect the bloodline right?" Naitosai asked.
"Correct."
"So how did Lord Kashif come into power? He wasn't a part of our family."
"Through each generation I stood beside the ruler of Rendarg, however when Cecilee was born, the king did not want his daughter caught up in the politics of war. Lord Kashif was originally the king's advisor. As per the king, he took the throne as the new ruler to give his daughter a chance at a normal life. Ironically enough, she became the leader of the most renowned military unit the kingdom has ever known. I guess war is just in the family's blood."
"And that's why you joined my unit, to fulfill your oath and continue to protect the bloodline?"
Thengol simply nodded in agreement, "The only royal blood that is left courses through the veins of you and your children. Your majesty, you are in fact the heir to the throne of Rendarg." he proclaimed while kneeling before her.
