Panting feverously and still recovering from the empathy she had just performed on Thengol, Cecilee looked to Curran with all sense of hope pouring out of her soul, "Curran no." she said while tears welled in her eyes.

Raintree dusted herself off and returned to her feet, looking down at Curran with a disgusted expression upon her face, "Pathetic."

Without uttering a word, he continued staring off into space. He didn't blink nor move, perhaps due to the shock and heartbreak of his wife's actions.

"Couldn't have done it better myself, never would've been able to give it that extra umph." said Tech as he chuckled out of amusement.

"My Lord." she said while making her way over to him.

I was so close, this was it. He was the one I seeked. Koshinto thought angrily while looking down at the samurai.

"Show me what it means to be held by a real man." she said while placing her hand upon her master's chest.

He quickly grabbed the hair on the back of her head and pulled down on it. With his free hand, he raised her leg, wrapping it around him while pulling her close.

As their lips met, Curran finally showed a sign of life and slowly turned over in time to witness the betrayal. He flashed back to when his lips were to meet with his wife's, then flashed to the dagger piercing his flesh.

He looked down to see the blade still in his body, then back up to Tech and Raintree, still locked together in a passionate kiss.

"Why my love... how could you do this me?"

Overcome by anger, he tried to pick himself up but the amount of blood loss and positioning of the dagger crippled the samurai from an already fatigue ridden battle.

"Take your hands off my wife you son of a bitch!" he yelled while struggling to make his way to his feet but to no avail.

Tech deepened his kiss with her while raising his hand from her waist and putting up one finger as if to say, "In just a minute."

In total disrespect to her husband, she reached up, grabbed his hand and placed it on her buttocks while continuing to press her lips against his.

Curran let out a roar of frustration as Naitosai landed back on the ground near his mother. Malaparos reverted back into the form of the dragon helm, reappearing around his master's head and giving the young dragoon's life force a much needed rest.

Tech and Raintree's kiss was finally broken by Koshinto, who was beyond livid.

"What the fuck was that Tech!?"

"What was what?" he calmly replied with Raintree standing next to him, readjusting herself.

"What was the meaning of that shit the two of you just pulled?"

"Something is wrong here, but this is neither the time nor place to discuss it. I did what needed to be done and in the end you'll thank me." he replied in a low but stern tone, clearly not happy with being questioned in such a way in front of the enemy as well as his generals.

For your sake, you better hope so. I grow tired of your games Tech.

Koshinto's expression vividly displayed his frustration and disappointment over the recent events, then suddenly his eyes widened as blood slowly began pouring from his mouth.

"Krinx... Please forgive me." she cried out from behind him while sobbing.

When he turned around, he came face to face with Iwai. He then looked down and noticed Cecilee's sword protruding from his chest.
