Sam drove home happily in his new camaro. Jay sat next to him, just as happy.
Jay never ended up getting a car, none caught his interest, but Ron had promised to bring him to another dealership the following weekend.
The twins sat in silence until Sam pulled up to the house. "Hey, could you wash the car. We're going to a party in, like, three hours."
Jay shot a look at Sam. "Why can't you wash it?"
"I have to get ready."

Jay's frown turned into a shit-eating grin. "Ohhh. Is Mikaela gonna be there?"

Sam's ears turned a violent pink and he huffed indignantly. "Just wash the car."
He opened the door and hurried out the car into the house.
Jay laughed loudly and hopped out of the car. He found bucket somewhere and filled it with water from the hose. He poured dish soap in it, then went to put on some swim trunks.
The Witwicky boy came back out with a large sponge in his hand.

"Ok Mr. Camaro. Time for a wash."

The water was cold when Jay dunked his hand in, making him jump. When the sponge slapped against the window of the car it splattered water everywhere, making Jay jump again.
Luckily it was pretty hot outside, considering it was summer.

Sweat was dripping down his face as he worked from the blaring sun, but the car was looking so much better than before.
It was covered in red dust and dirt from the car dealership. Jay couldn't do much about any rust that was there, but everywhere else was shiny and clean.

Jay wiped his brow as he stepped back, admiring him work.

Suddenly water was poured on his head by Sam, who had snuck up and grabbed the water bucket.

Jay tensed up from the still freezing water running down his back.
He turned towards his twin with an evil grin on his face.

Sam's face paled and he turned to run, but Jay got to him faster. Sam's back was almost completely soaked from his twin's hug.

"Sorry Sammy. You started it." Jay quipped, passing him.

Sam rolled his eyes and followed the other Witwicky into the house to change.

----------

Once both boys were situated they hopped into the freshly cleaned camaro. Sam pulled out of the yard, with their parents complaining behind them; a large amount of black smoke had swirled out of the muffler.

"Okay. now we just have to pick up Miles."

Jay groaned in disdain. "Really? Does he have to come?"

Jay disliked Miles a lot, though not enough to hate him. It's just that Miles was a bisexual mess that constantly flirted with with the older Witwicky twin.

"Hey, you constantly try to set me up with Marina, or whatever her name is. I'm just returning the favour." Sam defended.

"Her name is Madison and Miles is creepy as hell, so stop trying."

Sam laughed and pulled up in front a small house lined with a small white fence. He honked the horn once and a boy with long blonde hair came running out. "Hey Sam."

The blonde caught sight of the other Witwicky in the passenger seat, "Oh, hey babe."
Jay rolled his eyes and looked away from Miles, out the window.
He could feel Miles smirking at the back of his head. "Playing hard to get still? That's okay."

Miles hopped in the back seat and leaned forward between the two front seats. "So, we're invited to the party, right?"

Sam glanced sidelong at Miles. "Uh, well, not exactly. But the lake is public property, so..."

Miles shrugged, accepting the answer.

Jay sighed again, for the twentieth time that day.

The rest of the car ride to the lake was quiet except for the occasional flirt or joke from Miles.

----------

When the trio pulled up to the lake there were a whole bunch of kids from their high school.

Jay absolutely refused to leave; he claimed that the seat belt being stuck was a sign, but the other two knew it was because he was afraid of Trent. The bully had been bullying Jay for years and almost accidentally killed him one time.
Though that's a story for another time.

Sam and Miles exited the camaro right as the seat belt got unstuck. Jay huddled his knees to his chest staring down Trent through narrow eyes. He watched his twin and Trent have a brief conversation then Miles jumped up in a tree.

Trent glanced over at the camaro, right at Jay, but didn't seem to see him. Trent kept looking as Jay leaned forward and flipped him off.

Trent didn't even react.

Jay wasn't sure what was happening, but accepted it anyways. He got to flip off Trent without worrying about having the crap beat out of him.

Sam said something and Trent finally looked away from the camaro. Whatever the other twin said seemed to make him annoyed and made him advance on Sam. Mikaela Barnes, aka Sam's 'super secret' crush, walked between them and pushed against Trents chest.

The idiot went back to his giant truck, because who needs normal sized tires, and said something to Mikaela, which made her mad and walk away down the road.
Sam and Miles raced back to the Camaro.

"I gotta help her." Sam said, mostly to himself.
Miles heard in the backseat. "What? She's and evil jock concubine. Let her walk."

The radio kicked on somehow and Sam turned around with a serious glint in his eyes. "I'm gonna drive her home."

Miles raised his hands. "Okay, fine. Me and Jay will switch and you can put her back here with him."
Jay turned to look at Miles with Sam. "Did you say put me in the back?" "Did you say put her in the back?" The twins spoke in unison.

Miles back up farther from the two.
"Miles, you gotta get out of my car." Sam sighed.
"What?"
"Get out of the car."

Miles pushed open the door and stepped onto the asphalt. "But what about bros before hoes?"

Jay stuck his head out of the window. "Exactly. You don't see him kicking me out."
Sam took off after Mikaela as Jay clambered into the back seat over the centre console.

He huddled up behind the passenger seat while Sam talked to Mikaela. She eventually got in the car and Sam tried to show off, which was not impressive at all.
The camaro's engine started to sputter making Sam pull over on the side of the road. Mikaela got out and said to pop the hood.

Sam kicked the car above the pedals. "No, no. You stupid car."

~Jay POV~

"No, no. You stupid car."

"Sam, kicking the car won't help." I remarked. Sam glared back at me. "Shhh."
He got out to see what Mikaela was doing as I huddled further into the seat. The seats were still oddly comfortable, considering this is an older car.

I started talking out loud in whisper, an old habit I have yet to break. 'I really wish I could get that ambulance. That would've been so cool. And it was brand new. That's probably not legal, but still, to just drive around an ambul-'

Sam opened the door and pressed his hands to his face. The hood of the car was closed and Mikaela was walking away.
I gave Sam a sympathetic look as he hit the steering wheel. "Come on, come on. Work, work. Please work."

Something seemed to answer his begging as the car sprung back to life. I silently cheered for Sam as Mikaela got back in the car.

----------

We got to Mikaela's house by the time it was dark, so we had t hurry back home.

"Hey, do you think i'm, shallow?" Mikaela asked as she walked up the steps.
Sam stuttered for a moment. "I- I think there's more to you than meets the eye."

Mikaela's face dropped in confusion and she nodded. Sam drove away quickly and I climbed back into the front seat. "More to you than meets the eye? Really?"

Sam sighed. "Yeah. I know."
