I shrugged and walked up to the robot. What do I have to lose?
Sam and Mikaela argued as I sat in the back seat. The seat belts clicked across my chest as I curled up.
"Now I know why the seats are so comfortable." I joked.
The robot made a sound like laughter and the radio switched on."My name is - Bumblebee."
I smiled at the seat in front of me. "How ironic. Well, Bumblebee, my name is Jaymes."
Bumblebee whirred as Mikaela and Sam got in.
Sam sat in the passenger side while Mikaela sat on the centre console for whatever reason."Uh, you should probably sit on my lap." Sam mumbled. I caught onto what he was doing and I guess Bumblebee did to since he swerved slightly, almost causing Mikaela to fall.
The girl quickly climbed onto my brother's lap and he pulled the seat belt around them both.
They were silent for another minute.
"That was pretty smooth, y'know."I smirked and silently cheered for Sam.
----------
"You what I don't understand?" Mikaela asked, "Why, if he's supposed to be, like, this super advanced robot, does he transform back into this piece-of-crap Camaro?"
Bumblebee stopped dead in the highway tunnel and forced us to get out before doing a u-turn and speeding away.
I was half asleep at this point and fell onto my hands and knees when I got out, splitting the skin.
My shirt was black so I pressed it against my knees and hands to help quell the blood flow.Sam half yelled at Mikaela saying that $4000 dollars just drove of. I rolled my eyes.
"Sam, he's a living, breathing thing. You don't really own him."
"Yeah? Well I paid for him."Bumblebee pulled back up next to us and I almost didn't recognise him. He had changed from an older beat up Camaro to a brand new shiny one.
I ran my hand across the glossy side of the car and smiled.
"Damn Bee. You got quite the upgrade."He revved his engine and took off when we were all settled again.
"Maybe don't insult him next time, Mikaela."Bee translated what I said to the non cybertronian speakers.
"Don't - insult me- next time, kid."----------
We drove for a while until it was dark and Bumblebee pulled over into a patch of grass. It was a pretty place in the woods, with tall pine trees surrounding you and a perfect view of the stars.
But at the moment, there was something even more distracting than the environment, and those were the asteroids falling from the sky. Well, I assume they aren't asteroids and were, in fact, Bumblebee's friends.
Sam and Mikaela got out of Bee to look, while I was content sitting cuddled up in the back. In the mean time, I decided to practise my English to make sure I could still speak it.
I started off with the simple things; repeating my name a few times until I got the hang of it, them my family, then friends. In no time at all I could almost speak fluent English. I stuttered on a few words and occasionally turned back to Cybertronian, but that wasn't to big of a deal.
Bumblebee sat rather quietly through the ordeal, helping me from time to time when I couldn't pronounce a word properly.
I could tell he was still as confused as I was about my sudden fluency in Cybertronian.Sam and Mikaela made it back to Bee and we set off again towards downtown.
----------
Bee drove up a wide, foggy alleyway somewhere downtown. The two up front got out, but I didn't quite want to yet. I had a feeling in the back of my mind that something was wrong.
