The chapters have been short lately, and I apologize for that. Here is longer chapter, totally not just to make up for the fact it's two weeks late. Nearly 4000 words

Not edited.

3rd Person P.O.V

Ratchet watched silently from the woods seeing his charge be sedated and put back in the 'freezer' they rescued him from. The sorrow that flowed through Ratchet was heavy like lead, pinning him against the brown grass below his tires.

:Ratchet. Ratchet come in:

The deep baritone of the Autobot leader startled the medic from his daze.

;I hear you Optimus;

The leader heard the distress in his old friends voice, but he couldn't address it at that moment. They had a mission to complete.

:Bumblebee and the children have been captured. Meet at my signal:

Ratchet didn't respond, only shutting off his comm and racing off the Optimus's signal.
He came up on a large building where the remaining three Autobots stood.

Once the medic transformed Optimus placed a servo on his shoulder. "I apologize about your charge, old friend."
Ratchet nodded, darkly at the ground. "I am sorry too, but we must get the Allspark."

Optimus sighed at the medic's standoff-ish behaviour. He could tell the mutant boy was important to Ratchet, even only knowing him for a day. The boy was similar to someone who was just as important to Ratchet.

Emphasis on was.
The war hurt every Cybertronian, but Ratchet was hit hard.

"Very well." Optimus continued, "Here contains the coordinates to the Allspark."
He gingerly held up a pair of glasses between his fingers. A light from his optic shone through the glass, emitting a hologram. A single little green dot glowed, shining out from the blue of the hologram.
"The cube is at, the Hoover Dam in Nevada." Optimus announced.

"Autobots, roll out."

"Jayson Samuel Witwicky. It is wonderful to finally meet you faceplate to faceplate."
I chuckled as the small human jerked up from the ground.

"I-what? Who are you?"

"That is not important as of right now, young one. You have little time before you are brought back to your world. There is much to explain."
My voice boomed loudly across my domain. Little Jayson looked confused. Humans are such fascinating creatures, though I much prefer what my cybertronians used to be.

"Oh, uh okay. What do you by my world? We're not on Earth?"

I smiled and shook my helm. "Your body is on Earth, young one. Your mind, however, is on cybertron. Or in, rather."

"Oh, I guess...that's cool."

"You humans are quite odd." I laughed, crouching low to the ground, "But I must speak with urgency."

"You are aware you are not fully human, correct?"

"Yeah. Ratchet found out, yesterday I think. Do you know him?"

"I am well aware of everything happening, young one. I've been watching you since you were born. You and your twin's fates have been entwined with my creations for a long time."
Oh, I wasn't supposed to let that much slip. I wonder how perceptive the little human is.
"What do you mean your creations? You made Cybertronians? Are you a god or something?"
