Chapter XL

Several years later...

"Be careful, baby!" Chloe called out to Brittany who was rushing into the ocean with her sisters.

"I will, mommy!" The little girl called back.

Chloe watched carefully as her daughters played together in the shallow water before sitting on a lounge chair with her wife who pulled the redhead back into her arms and squeezed her lovingly.

"My cute baby..." Beca uttered, making Chloe giggle.

"Your cute baby is over there playing with her sisters and many aunties and uncles."

"That's my cute rockstar. You're my cute baby."

Chloe giggled again as she snuggled into Beca's embrace. Life was going exceptionally well for Beca and Chloe. After getting the news that her antibiotics were working, Beca recovered rather fast and before she knew it, she was back to her normal self again. She won a Diamond award for her album Fight or Flight, which was based around her struggle when she was sick and how she got better with the help of her family and friends. The artist had also received multiple awards for her other albums and hit singles that she produced. She was regarded as one of the top ten most popular and influential music producers in the world - something that Beca never thought she'd be but she was so grateful for the opportunity.

Chloe was still teaching at Angeles High and the redhead managed to get herself a promotion to be the head of the English department. She was in charge of everything regarding English. She got to design the programs for the year, the books that the students were required to read, the standards that teachers and students were required to meet, preparing final exams, and even organise career meetings with her students to help them pick a career after they graduated or help them pick a college they wanted to go to. Chloe loved her job and she couldn't have imagined doing anything else.

After their first successful pregnancy with Brittany, Beca and Chloe decided to have a few more kids, which they did. They now had four girls - Brittany, Hannah, Stephanie, and Michelle. They all were a perfect blend of their mothers and they all shared physical traits with them as well and unfortunately, Beca believed that they would all grow up to be the same height as the artist but she hoped that Chloe's genes would kick in and help them out a bit.

Right now, the Mitchell's were all out at the beach. It was a beautiful summer day so the parents thought that it was only right to take their kids to the beach. The girls loved the beach, which was something they got from Chloe. They loved swimming and making sand castles. Every time either Beca or Chloe would mention the beach, the girls would go crazy and then beg their mothers to take them even if it was a cold winter's day - they still wanted to go and it was hard for Beca not to cave since ALL of the girls managed to inherit Chloe's baby blue eyes. Every time Beca looked at them she saw Chloe, making it nearly impossible to say no to them.

Beca and Chloe weren't the only ones at the beach and doing well for themselves. Since it was summertime, a lot of their friends had breaks from their jobs so Beca and Chloe were out at the beach with Stacie, Aubrey, Anna, and their latest daughter Alexis, Seth and Katherine who were now happily married, Fat Amy and Bumper who were engaged, Jesse and his fiancée Ashley, and Cynthia-Rose and her wife Denise. It was a family outing as Chloe dubbed it and everyone was having a good time.

"How did we manage to have such amazing kids?" Chloe said, loving the way her daughters were playing with Aubrey and Stacie's kids.

"I honestly have no idea," Beca chuckled.

"They're all so beautiful."

"They are."

"They're going to grow up to be such beautiful girls."
