Chapter 17

Jessica's POV 💭

"Babe get this blind off me it itches!" I yelled at Tyler . She had been driving for hours and kept me blind folded and handcuffed the whole time .

About ten minutes later I felt the car come to a complete stop. Tyler's soft fingers brushed against my face as she removed the blind fold . I blinked a few times and looked over to see her smiling at me.

"What weirdo?" I asked eyeing her curiously . She grabbed me and spun me around so I was facing the beach . There was a path of lit torches leading to a set table near the pier .

"Baby oh my--" I started before she put a finger over my mouth, gabbed my hand, and walked me down the path. When we reached the table she pulled out my chair for me and we both took a seat.

"Tyler you--" I started .

"Shhh ...," she said cutting me off. "I'm not done yet." At that second her friend Dontae and my Bestfriend Shelly appeared carrying a box. Tyler stood in-between them; they all smiled at me.

"Jess...," Tyler started. She opened the box and pulled out two platters, placing one infront of me and the other on her side of the table. She took the top off to reveal my favorite food; Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo😍. "I made it myself,"she said,"well me and my mom but... Yea."

Tyler sat down across from me and eyed me. I grabbed her hand;kissing it lightly. "You're the sweetest person ever you know that right?" I asked smiling at her.

She nodded and leaned back in er chair. "Try it." She said obviously talking about the meal she made. I picked up my fork and tried some of it . It was so good! Like really really good ! It felt like food porn in my mouth. ( 😂😂😂😂 lmao ok don't you dare judge me!)

"By the look on your face I can tell you like it." She said laughing .

"I do." I said covering my mouth full of food.

I slowly started to hear music in the distance then I turned my head to see Shelly and Dontae by the pier with speakers smiling at us. Weirdos .

I turned my attention back to Tyler who was smiling at me. "What?" I asked starting to blush.

"Nothing..," she started,"just admiring my view." This made me blush even more. She slowly placed her hand on-top of mine. "You should really be mine..." She said . Her words slowly drifting off as she looked off in the distance.

My heart dropped for a second.

"I just honestly care about you so much and..." She started to say before I cut her off .

"Tyler I don't know .." I said .

"What do you mean?" She asked with a slightly hurt expression.

"Tyler you know I like but you also know I just got out of a bad relationship." I said .

"Yeah that you would still be in if it wasn't for me." Anger slowly rising in her voice.

"I know I know but..."

"But what?" She said cutting me off."Am I still not good enough? You don't 'trust' me? You still love her? You're still hurt?"

All the the above was true ...

"I've still hurt from my last relationship too," she started,"but I'm moving on, and I want it to be with you Jess."

I sat there speechless. I want to be with her too . I wanted to shout it but my mouth was dry and my body felt paralyzed .

Suddenly I felt her hand move from mine. I looked up to see tears forming in her eyes . She turned away putting her hands in her pockets and walked off...
