I wake up in the morning. I hear the birds chirping from the window. I also feel a warm breeze come from the window. I look at the window like I haven't seen one at all.

I felt someone put something in my head. Something damp and cold. I look over and see him. Levi. I didn't know why I was covered with a blanket and I felt really cold. I looked at Levi with a confused face

"You were warm last night.... I presumed you had a fever... Were you in the cold? Tch...." He say closing his eyes "Idiot" he whispers and crosses his arms.

"I was warm last night?" I asked. I remember being on this bed and I fell asleep "Yes, you took a nap but then you fell into deep sleep.... I went to go check on you.... Just in case you weren't dead.... But sadly you had a fever" he said coldly

"Sadly I have a fever? You wanted me dead, instead?!" I asked putting my head up a little. He smiles "I'm just joking with you stupid" he chuckles.

I roll my eyes and he puts his back hand against my cheek "Your still warm.... You'll probably be sick for a couple of day.... I guess that means more cleaning for me" he sigh, slightly happy.

I laugh a little. Levi snaps his head to me "What?!" He shouts with blushed cheeks "N-Nothing it's that.... You don't know me and your taking care of me.." I say softly.

He rolls his eyes "Idiot, I'm here because stupid Ms.Bowler made me... Or I wouldn't clean for a week" he says traumatized

I laugh "You like cleaning?!" I ask while laughing. He looks at me "What's wrong with that?!" He shouts embarrassed.

"I never heard a boy wanting to clean..... A normal boy I would meet would want to kiss a girl then clean" I laugh faintly "I guess I don't want to kiss a filthy girl" he says under his breath putting his head down

"It's ok.... I'd rather have a clean guy.... Then a dirt guy" I say with a smile. I put my arms against the bed to pull myself up from the bed. I slowly do it and I feel Levi's hand touch my wrist "Be careful idiot!" He says

"I can do it myself" I say struggling up "No you can't..... Stop thinking you can do everything by yourself!!" He shouts with his eyes locked one mine. I feel tears run down my cheeks.

It didn't seem like much to say but I knew what he meant. He said that offensively "You don't know me!" I say crying "Yes that might be true but I know what your feeling...." He let's go of my wrist and puts his head down

"You think you can be strong by yourself..... But you can't.... You need someone there for you.... I know about you.... I know your parents died beyond the wall... I know that your weak.... You can't do this by yourself.... Last night...." He gulps "I heard you cry about your parents..." He say sadly

"How did you know about my parents?!" I ask angrily. He looks up at me "I don't know.... A man.... With glasses and a dark jacket..... He said things about your parents.... He said there was a secret you must know about your father and him... He said when you grow... You will know" Levi says with a dull voice

I didn't know who he was talking about.... Who did I know with glasses? I put my head up in thought. Know what about him and my father? He had glasses?

I snapped my head up, sucking up my tears. It was probably.... Dr. Jägar, the only one I knew who was with my father and had glasses. I kept quiet about who I thought it was and looked down

Tears came pouring down my face. Hiccuping with the pain in my throat "How do you know I'm weak?" I say faintly crying "Because i went threw what you're going through.... I'm also weak like you" he said

I nod with my head down and look up. Blushing from what I'm about to say. I don't know why he gave my butterflies "Levi.... Let's be weak together.... Maybe in the future we can be strong" I smile with tears going away.

My face red from the tears. Levi looks up with his straight face "I guess" he says. I smile "Ok... First thing is.... What do you wanna become when you grow up?" I ask looking at him like a lost puppy.

"Mmmmm" he thinks looking up "I guess if we are gonna grow strong together, we have to be together... Not like that but you know what I mean" I say weakly.

He still was quietly thinking about my question. I open my mouth and look at the window. I see the sun setting above the wall and I smile "When I grow up... I want to follow what my parents did" I say happily

Levi laughs "You want to join Survey corps?" He says. I snap my head with an annoyed face "Why are you laughing?!" I ask "Nothing it's just, the thought of it" he says looking at the window

I look back at the window. In which the sun was already below the wall. I can see the clouds slowly moving away "I guess I'm becoming a soldier with you" he sighs

I look at him "If that's not what you want then don't...-"

"No.... That's what I'm becoming..... Kusaki?" He looks at me with glowing eyes from the orange setting sun.

"Promise, we will avenge you parents deaths....." He brings his pinky up

"And we will also become the greatest soldiers!" He shouts.

I pause in the words he just said.

The words my father said the day before he died.

Promise.

The word rang in my head like an alarm clock.

I opened my mouth and I felt air come out my mouth

"I promise"
