Levi x Reader/Kusaki ||| Chosen

Chapter 28

Year 846

We were going to have another expedition. This time week took refugees from last years fall. We took people with no experience with 3DMs or titans.

Most of them were men and they were forced into it. Many children and woman cried after seeing there grandpa, husband, father, etc. leave.

Today, we were going outside the wall with a little more than 250,000 people. We trained them within a month. Which is not good enough at all.

Even old men had to train with the pain on there backs. Levi was beside me on a horse and Erwin was in the front.

I looked behind me seeing a thousand men with sad faces. I looked forward "Kusaki, you need to keep your emotions on the down low" Erwin said not facing me.

"Half of them are going to die, they don't have good training" I look down "You don't think that's how they feel. Be lucky that your good at this" Levi says

"How can you say that....?" I say softly "Your just gonna shrug it off and say "If they die, they die" once again?"

Levi doesn't say anything. It's eithr because he didn't know what to say, I owned him, or he just didn't feel like fighting or talking to me.

"You two stop fighting, right now is not the time" Erwin says.

"Open the gates!" Someone shouts.

Everyone that was there shouts in optimism. Of course it was well trained soldiers that were happy. The victory that they strive to get. I can feel like we already one the war.

We all start galloping our horses. They all scream once they all run out of the wall. Little by little the noise went away because for the first time they saw the outside world.

The first time they went out into Wall Maria. The beauty made them all speechless. I ignored the scenery. To me it was another thing I've seen.

Within those minutes, there was a large group of titans coming towards us. As well as abnormal titans.

"Kusaki! Stay close!" Levi shouts as we were getting closer "Levi, we have to fight back!" I reply

My maneuver quickly puts me in the air. I see titans already looking at me. I quickly go down killing 5 titans and 3 abnormals.

I see an old man almost getting eaten. Half of his body was already in the mouth and the titan was bearly chomping it.

I go to him and kill the titan "Levi! Watch my back!" I shout to him. Throughout this time we were both watching each other's backs.

The man was falling and I grabbed him. I could bearly hold him but I was able to hold him.

He coughed up blood, as we were on the soft green grass. The green grass shined with his blood spilling from him.

The man had a beard and long grey hair. I held on his wound to stop the bleeding. I was about to cry and I didn't know him.

I bit of some of my cape and wrapped it around him. He was gasping for air. He looked at me and smiled "I'm grateful that you saved me" I held his hand that was with blood.

"I-I heard about you from my grandson.... He told me about you saving his friend..."

I was getting teary "Please don't talk" I cried

"Ca-Can you do something for me...!" He choked

I nodded "Anything..."

"T-Tell my grandson that I love him as my own and to keep believing in what he believes...." He exhaled

"....Sir....." I whisper

His eyes closed slowly and his grip that was holding my hand became loose. I looked down and saw tears drops on the grass.

"Kusaki! Hurry!" Levi shouts from behind.

I stand up and lightly put his hand on the grass. I turn around and keep fighting.

I kept going. I kept fighting. Me and Levi were teaming up on many titans. We saved as much as we can from getting eaten. Some not so lucky.

"Retreat!" Erwin shouted.

I looked at him and heard something. A loud bang. I tried looking around to see where it came from and it was my maneuver.

It was loosing gas. Damn it! I looked at Levi and then I felt a tug. A titan had me in his hands and was putting me in his mouth.

I reached for my swords in the titans hands and I couldn't reach them. The titan squeezed me harder. Making my ribs seem to break.

I shout in pain and the light was going away. I was going into the titans mouth.

He was slowly closing his mouth. I look down and whimper.

"Kusaki! What the hell are you doing?! Your giving up?!" I hear Levi's voice

Hearing the sword go through the titans neck and then at the fingers. I feel myself fall from the titans hands.

Quickly, I'm in the air once again. Levi grabs me from my waist and I lay my head on his chest. I was weak.

"My ribs..... I think they broke....!" I say weakly, coughing up some blood.

"Kusaki..... Kusaki...... Hang in there....." I hear Levi's voice faintly go away.

My eyes close into total darkness.
