Chapter 23

Waking up today was so tiring. I don't know why I was so tired. I swear I slept early but I don't know.

What really woke me up was the fact that Levi was coming back today. I was so excited! I know Levi was able to fight, even with his wound.

I know he had stitched but to me that's nothing, unless he broke a bone. I was ready to see half the people I met probably gone.

I was already walking to the gates. It was about 10 in the morning. I left my squad back at the facility because I think they needed some resting. I already saw so many people waiting at the gate.

Many so desperate to see loved ones. I watched as kids waited for there fathers or brothers. I tried seeing the corps come in but people these days were growing so tall.

I can bearly pass through, even though I was a captain I didn't get my own palace and crap. If only I did.... I tried to get to the closest area to the gate.

I heard people shout and the gates finally opened. I jumped to look, just like a little kid. Trying to be able to see and when Levi was coming in.

Fuck it! I'm pushing! I start shoving and pushing through "Excuse me! Sorry! Please move!" I shout, moving people out of the way.

I saw men give me ugly looks but I don't care, I can put them on the ground in 5 minutes. I got to the front and saw the corps come in.

So many.... So many were hurt, wounded. I saw soldiers with no leg, arm, not even an eye. I saw soldiers helping other soldiers out. I didn't see much dead bodies. They probably ate half of them or threw them out to come back faster.

I heard people talk bad about them "There they go again, more young kids getting killed for no reason" one man said "You can say that again, this is total bullshit" another said

I ignored the fact and just kept looking for Levi. I finally saw Erwin come in, not wounded or anything. What the hell? Is he made of fucking metal or something?

Behind him I see Levi.... Levi was there walking beside ther soldiers. He looked totally fine, no wounds at all, although he did looked pissed off.

Erwin and him probably got in a fight or something. The first thing that I do when I see Levi is run. I run towards Levi and jump, giving him a big hug.

I feel tears come threw me as I wrapped my arms around him. I heard him his in pain "I told you" he said "I told you I would come back"

I cried more and didn't look at him "Why did you hiss in pain?!" I ask crying angrily. He looks at me "I still have the pain of the stitches"

I start walking with him and wiping my tears. I had my left hand holding his "How was it?" I ask, I thought by now he'll let go of my hand but then he just held it tighter.

My face turned red and I looked to the side. I see a little boy and girl staring at us. The little boy was smiling and waving at us. The girl looked speechless.

I can tell that the little boy was telling her that he wanted to be in corps because he was pointing at us and then himself.

I turned and smiled to Levi "Look those kids honor us" turning back my head to show him. Levi takes a quick glare "To bad there not going to be part of corps" he said coldly.

I scold "How mean" I say, playfully slapping his arm "I was just kidding" he says softly. I look at him with a straight face "I thought you were being serious"

The horses then stopped and everyone stopped moving. We were kinda in the front and we looked over to see what was going on.

I see an elderly woman in front of a soldier "Where is my son? Do you know where he is?" She asked desperately
