Chapter 24

My eyes blinked. Is this boy drunk or something? Is someone playing a joke? I look at my squad to see their reactions.

They all had the same horrified face. I knew exactly what they were thinking. I looked at the boy as he started to weep.

"We are going to die.... I came here as quick as I can from Wall Maria to tell you.... I heard you and Levi were good.... Please..." He cried "Please...save us"

I looked at Levi for his thoughts "Well, you heard the guy... Let's go fight for humanity" I say standing up.

I felt quiet optimistic for this situation, I didn't know if I was scared as fuck or if I just wanted to act like a captain.

We all quick left past the guy and went outside. Already seeing many soldiers running around "He wasn't lying" Hangi says

I look around and see Erwin jogging towards me "Kusaki, wall Maria has been shot threw" he says firmly

"By a cannon?" I ask, he did say it was shot down

"No, by a titan"

"H-How?" Alissa asks, shaking and scared.

"Witnesses say there was a large titan that appeared out of nowhere, he then kicked the wall in"

"What the hell? How is that possible?" I ask

"We do not know, we are investigating.... Right now, I want you and your squad to go to Wall Maria.... People are in deep danger right now" he says walking away slowly "Hangi, please comes with me" he turns

Hangi goes to him "Okay" she says softly. I looked back at my squad "Let's go soldiers, we are ready for this!" I say optimistically.

We were already close to Wall Maria. I walked tried to focus as much as I can. I can tell Alissa was scared still, her 3DM would shake.

Jarek was scared but strong and Lealy was the same. I walked into an opening to Wall Maria seeing many soldiers cry and run around.

I then see this one soldier with blonde hair and facial hair. He look scared out of his wits "A-Are you Captain Kusaki?" He asks.

I nod "Yes, what is going on here? You guys trained for this and here you all are acting like a bunch of babies" I say looking around.

"Ma-Ma'am, we have never seen titans and the titans that kicked in the wall were huge.... They didn't look like any other titan I've see.... They didn't have skin and they disappeared into thin air"

"Titans?" I say, I thought it was only one titan.

"Yes, a huge titan kicked in Wall Maria"

My eyes open wide. Damn, this thing did go through. I hear him keep babbling about something but I ignore him. I keep walking and see people screaming, running, and titans eating people.

Levi comes to me and stands there "Kusaki... Please stay with me it's not sa-"

"I'm not a little girl, Levi" I say coldly

I can tell he got mad so I tip toed and kissed him "Don't worry" I calm him.

I hit my maneuver and fly away "Kusaki!" I hear Levi's firm voice shout.

I ignore him and keep going. I'm not letting kids die today.... I'm not letting people die today. I just keep flying until I hit this titan with big eyes and blonde hair.

I go to it quickly and hit it. Not breaking a damn sweat. I then hear more maneuvers go off, I look behind me, I see Jarek and Alissa coming with me.

"Captain what are your orders?" Alissa asks focusing on where she was going.

I look forward also "Kill all these damn, titans" I grit. I keep going and I kill another titan.

I see a woman about to get eaten and I kill that one too. Then I see a group of three titans. I quickly go swing to swing and kill them.

I did it with no sweat or emotion. I just keep killing. I don't want to see anyone get eaten.

I then hear someone calling me name. Damn.... Ruining my zone. I look back and I see Alissa again "Capatin!" Her shouting got clearer.

I look back "Yes?" I shout back

"Lea-Lealy!... She... Di-"

I choked. I couldn't believe what I saw. It happened quick. I saw Alissa in the hands if the titan. Moving slowly towards his mouth.

Damn! I quick go to it and I some how flipped. I fall on the roof of a building and look back. The titans grabbed my rope. When I felt the tug, I also felt a big pull To my shoulder. Hell, there goes another broken bone.

I hit my other side of my maneuver to his ear. I swing around his head and quickly kill him. My heart was pounding fast. I stop from the pain of my shoulder, I grab my shoulder. I probably pulled a nerve and then hear Alissa screaming.

At the moment I went blank. I hate the fact that when this type of crap happens, I hesitate and go blank. I see Alissa's body go into the mouth but then something stops.

Jarek comes and cuts off the titans hand. Letting go of Alissa. I smiled with the victory of Jarek, not noticing that the same titan grabbed Jarek and chomped him out.

All I saw was Jareks dangling feet from the other side of the titans feet. I hear Alissa cry and kill that titan. I look to the back and I see another titan "Alissa no!" I shout

Alissa was in rage mode, she didn't hear me. I watch as the other titan grab her and slowly eat her. I tried getting up but the pain of my shoulder stung me. I had to stay down for a while.

That's it... They were gone. And I just stood there without doing crap. Another friend was just eaten away as I stood there.

I punched the roof that was beneath me "Damn it!" I shout. I hear someone's shoes clamp on the roof.

I didn't bother to pick my head up or see who it was. The person the ran towards me "Kusaki!" I heard the voice.

I knew the voice "Levi...." I whimper in pain.

"Ku-Kusaki" His hands tried to touch me softly but it was still painful "You idiot! What happened?!"

I stayed on the ground and then got the energy to pull myself up. My other arm helping me out, I hiss in pain "They died..... Jarek and Alissa" I say sadly, looking down.

"Lealy died too...." Levi says softly. I look up at him and give up on emotions. "It's not your fault, Kusaki. We all make bad decisions" he says

"Levi... You never made bad decisions" I said weakly

"Yes I have.... Leaving you and the others to fight alone was the biggest mistake I ever made"

I knew what he meant. He left us to go get Erwin but it ended up.... The same way like this.

Levi snaps his head the other way, looking at a titan "I have to do this" he says. I can hear the whip of the rope and I leave also.

That titan. I have to find it. The titan that killed Lealy.

I'm going to kill it...
