Chapter 20

Year 845

So far we were all a good squad, so far. Today was training. To see how good they were, I already knew but it's training.

I sat in the same spot as Fagon would when he watched us. I watched Alissa, Jarek, and Lealy slice through the trees. Hopefully, they would do good as this out there.

"Kusaki, How are you doing with your squad?" I hear someone behind me. I turn around and see Erwin. His hands behind his back and his serious face. I smile "So far, so good. One thing though....." I look around to see if anyone is listening.

Levi was also training, I think he got bored and left. I look at Erwin again "One of my cadets Lealy Hesher, I didn't know she was Sayram's half sister" I whisper

Erwin's face kind of looks at me with shock "Alright, would you like me to remove her from your squad?"

"No.... I already dealt with her problem. I think she was revengeful of her brothers death but I kinda used your speech, the one you used against Levi" I say

"I see, if you have any problems with her.... Please tell me right away. I wouldn't want you to fight her or anything"

"What? You think I would fight her?!"

"Nuh-..... It's just you loose temper easily.... Levi is the same but it takes a lot to get something from him, but you on the other hand...."

"Oh I see, I get where your coming from...." I say annoyingly and cross my arms

"No-No that's what I like about you, Kusaki. You know what's right from wrong"

I sigh "Alright, commander. Is there anything I need to know?" I ask

Erwin makes a straight face "No, not at all. Well, not yet"

I look behind me and I can see my squad doing there training "I'll see you soon then" I smile, slowly walking away.

I hear someone screaming and shouting happily. I look around and see that girl. Damn, what was her name? I haven't seen her for a long time....

Hans.... Hayne.... Hanyi.... Hango.... Hangi! That's it! I see her skipping towards me. Her arms goes around my neck and she pulls me around.

I see her smiling and laughing "Ahhhh, Kusaki I didn't know you became captain too" she says happily

"I didn't know you became one, Hangi. How are you liking it?" I ask as she was choking me a little.

I see Levi in the corner of my eye coming towards Hangi and pulling her off. Hangi steps back with shock and then smiles "I see what's going on...."

She jumps and then points at me and Levi "You guys are together!" She shouts

Levi grabs my waist and pulls me closer to him "Yes, we are. Now can you stop getting your filthy hands on her" he says dully

"Oha! Come one shorty! You gotta share her sometime!" She shouts. Levi turns me around and ignored her. Hangi grunts then smiles "See you two love birds around!"

"I heard she actually likes titans" Levi whispers, letting go of me "Wha? No, maybe your getting wrong information" I say not looking at him

"I don't know, it's an interesting perspective" he says sitting down in the cooling spot. I sit next to him and sigh

"So how are the cadets?" I say swinging my legs. Levi was getting water and drinking it "Pretty good. Alissa is falling behind a lot but..... To be honest I think she will be a weakling when she gets sight of a titan" he says

"Damn, we gotta fix that... And the others?"

"Good. Jarek has a lot of fucking strength, he cuts the nip pretty deep and Lealy is pretty skilled about how to go about.... She's not fast but she's bright.... She reminds me of Sayram..." He says softly

"Please don't talk about that....." I sigh softly. Levi nods and puts downs his water "Kusaki how are you?" Levi asks not looking at me

"Good" I say simply

"No, how are you.... Since we've been here?"

"I-...... I...... To be honest, I've been feeling pretty good about everything. Since the last expedition I've learned many feelings to take care of, and I'm feeling good about this new year"

Levi says nothing and walks away "What? Your not gonna say anything?" I ask him as he walks away "Nope, we'll talk later.... I have something to tell you but not right now" he says

"O-Ok" I stammer

"Kusaki! You should've seen it! We were flying through the training course!" Alissa shouts happily, showing actions with her hand.

"Right, Jarek and Levi? Even Lealy was doing good! I could've sworn that I saw some jealousy towards us!" She shouts.

I chuckle and waves my hand for her to sit down. She stops and sits "It was great" she nibbles on her loaf of bread.

Jarek smiles as he watches her eat. I look at him and smile. He looks at me and then gets an blushed look.

'You like her?' I mouth. He quickly nods his head no 'Of course not' he fake smiles. I wink 'I think she likes you' I mouth

"So Kusaki and Levi..... How are you two good? I heard you started young" Lealy says eating her soup with really good manners.

"Oh-uh..... We were "thugs" as I said before but we never had special training or anything. Just extra practice" I finish

"Wow, my brother would send me letters talking about you two. How good you were and how he wishes he was as skilled" she says sadly

"He was good himself" I say softly "Well, I'm glad you had fun out there.... Rumors are going around that there will be another expedition, next week" I whisper

They all look at me with shock, both scared and excited "I'll like to see your skill until then" I say happily

"Wait... Are they scary looking?" Alissa asked with a horrified face

"Uhh, at first 2 minutes but then there's just normal animals that your hunting" I say nervously, trying not to sound scary

"Good" she sighs in relief

I put my hand in the middle of the table and smile "We'll beat those titans asses" I say proudly

They put there hands in also and smile. I look at Levi to put his hand in also. I stare at him with confidence as he was looking at us dumbly.

"Ok" he rolled his eyes and put his hand in

We all smile and shout, except Levi

"Let's do this!"
