Levi x Reader/Kusaki ||| Chosen

Chapter 18

I was still on the ground. Trying to face the fact that my two best-friends..... No, family that just died. I looked down as the rain stopped dropping.

I heard horses run in and I heard an echo. Faintly go into my head "Kusaki, are you ok? Are you the only one?" It was someone's voice. A firm but kind voice.

It was Erwin. I can hear him faintly asking the same question and all that can come out of my mouth was "Levi...." I whisper under my breath. I can hear that Erwin sighs and looks up "Did you two cause this smoke? There is so much" he says in amazement.

I hear a loud bang hit the floor. My head snaps up from the horror thinking it was a titan. Instead, I see Levi pulling Erwin collar sleeve and looked deep into his eyes.

I can hear Mike take out his sword for defense of Erwin. Levi pulls his sword and looks at Mike in the corner of his eyes "Don't come any closer" Levi hisses

Levi moves his eyes to Erwin and stands up with the sword on Erwin's forehead "Erwin.... I've come all this way to kill you" Levi says angrily. There was a pause for a little.

"They died, right?" Erwin says sadly. He moves his head down in sadness and Levi stands there without saying anything. I see Erwin reach his hand into his cape pocket and bring an envelope out "Is this what you are looking for? Lebov's documents?" Erwin asked with a serious voice. He slowly picked his head up to Levi

"Y-You knew about it too?" Levi stammered. Erwin threw the envelope down "What a pity, it's too late now" Erwin says coldly. My face burnt with what he just said.

I threw my body up and ran to him with my hands up. Bringing my hand to his cheek to slap him. Making the sound of a whip right across his face "'What a pity'? What the hell do you know?! You asshole! It's all your fault!" I scream and the start crying.

Levi grits his teeth and brings the sword down to his neck "Oi, what does this mean?" Levi asks while I hear the sword ramble a little.

Erwin looks down again and lays his hand on his knees "I knew Lebov was messing with funds. Especially, funds having to do with expeditions for the past years. I wanted him locked up. We had to have good proof to get him, so I told some rumors... Lebov's very sneaky. He wanted the documents gone. So he sent you guys. We knew he was going to take action. As he did, we got the little tracks he left and got him" Erwin explained

My fists clenched as I was looking down with my blonde hair covering my face "So you knew.... Why? Why let us in the corps?" I hiss trying not to knock the shit out of him.

"First, because your skills had great power. Second, you guys were proof of Lebov's plan. When you made a physical deal with him, you saw him. That's when we knew his whole plan... But it's unnecessary now. General Zackly has the real documents. It's done"

Levi clenched the sword in his hand and his eyes got wide with anger "They.... They shouldn't have died. Just because they got into shitty authority disputes" Levi says

Levi swung his sword up and went down hard. I gulped with the sight of that. I jumped in horror and Mike did too. I then heard a stop. Something stopped his way.

I look in Erwins hand, which was holding the blade. He grunted with pain cutting threw his skin and dripping blood "'Shitty authority desputes?'" Erwin hissed

Erwin lifted his knee "Who killed your friends? My friends? Huh? Is it me? Or you? You think the wouldn't have died if they made a surprise attack on me?" Erwin asks loudly

"Exactly! It's thanks to my stupid decision! I'm lucky enough to keep Kusaki!" Levi shouts back.

"No!! It's the titans" Erwin shouts pushing Levi

Levi grunts and moves the sword to Erwin's stomach

"Where do titans come from? Why do they eat us? Why do they exist? Nobody knows because we are hiding in the damn walls! Look at all the space we have!" He shouts pointing at the field.

"Just hiding in the walls won't do shit for us as we watch more people get eaten! Humans are blind because we've been in those walls for 100 years! They can't see anything beyond the walls! Are you blind too, Levi and Kusaki?"

Erwin stands up and grabs Levi's shirt and pulls him up "Will you kill me and go back to the darkness below?"

"Fight for survey corps! We need you and Kusaki's man power!" Erwin shouts.

My eyes start tearing up with the memories of Isabelle and Farlan. The smile across there face when they saw the outside world.

I will fight.... I'll fight for everyone to see the beauty of the outside world

Erwin stood up and wiped himself "It's you decision to make"

We all settled down and got on our horses "We only have three, I guess you ca-" Mike was cut out

"No, Kusaki come with me" Levi says pulling out his hand. I quietly grab his hand and he jerks me on the horse.

I grab his waist as we go back. I look back to see the few soldiers coming with us. I look down in sadness

"Kusaki, I'm going to continue to be in corps.... Not for me.... But for us.... Including Farlan and Isabelle. I think they'd would want us to fight for humanity...." Levi says looking down

I nod "We will fight for humanity"
