Chapter-5 A Change of Style

" Um, hey... What.. Whatcha doin?" Howard asked awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his head and shifted his gaze to the side.

" Howard!!?? " Nomicon yelled as her face became red from embarrassment. Randy too started to blush too as he realized how close he was to Nomi.

She instinctively shoved Randy away from her person, but used too much force and caused him fall backward on his butt with force on the hard concrete floor.

" Ow! " Randy yelped as his face contorted to match his pain. Howard immediately ran to the aid of his friend.

" Cunningham, you okay? Are you hurt? " He asked worried as he stood on one knee.

Nomi realising what she did moved to the purple haired teen. " Randy, are you okay? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that. " She stammered, her face expressing concern.

" Hey dude, get away from my biffer." Howard warned her as he pointed his index finger in her direction.

" I said, I was sorry. " She repeated in annoyance.

The two locked gaze and grunted with annoyance, meanwhile Randy, who was in the middle of this, had a nonchalant expression.

" Hey guys, I'm not really that hurt, I just fell on my butt. " Randy interjected himself as he pulled himself up. He turned to Nomi, who looked a bit worried probably still guilty.

" It's okay Nomi. " He said in a calming tone to her as he gave a heartwarming smile.

Nomi couldn't help but stare at his eyes and get caught in her own world. She didn't hear Howard calling her so he wavered his hand in front of her face causing her break free from her trance.

" Hey, dude who are you? Why are you dressed like a shoob and what were you doing to my friend? " Howard interrogated with one of his eye brow raised and hands at his hips with arms behind his back.

" Hey, squirt don't push me or else. " Her word were like knives slicing though Howard's words. " And secondly I'm a girl. "

" Really? " Said Howard expressing doubt with a brow raised.

Nomi started to lose her cool. Her fist closed and eyes shooting daggers, she walked closer towards him in a threatening manner. Howard was to stupid to wonder what was going on.

Randy got in the way before anything happened. " Okay, let's not go overboard here. Howard this is the ninjanomicon. Nomi this is howard. "

" Wait, wait, wait, this dude is the Nomicon! " Said Howard surprised.

At that point she lost her cool. " I. Am. A. Girl! " She yelled in frustration as she pulled out a ninjatō sword from her cloak and pointed it at Howard.

Howard immediately freaked out and hid behind Randy. Randy also freaked, he put his arms up and backed up a bit. " Um.. Nomi could, could you please put down the ninja sword."

" Let me chop him down first. " She said in a dark threatening manner. She looked scary and was probably doing to do what she said.

Randy took a deep breath and moved his hand closer to her hands and lightly touches them. Nomi was surprised but not unhappy.

" Nomi. " He said looking into her eyes. " Please calm down. "

Nomi's cheeks redden as she lower her ninjatō sword. Her eyes staring at Randy's hands touching her's. Randy eventually let go of her hand and the sword disappeared.

" Okay that's good, everybody's calm, let's stay that way." Randy said calmly. " Howard apologize to nomi. "

" What? How is it my fault?" He yelled waving his hands in the air.

" Howard." He said in a high demanding tone while give a serious look.

Having not much of choice he gave in and apologized although everyone knew it was insincere.

" So what now?" Howard asked.

" um, well I ah, um." Nomi had not thought that far ahead.

" Let's go to my place and talk there." Randy suggested.

" S-sure why not." She said with a smile. Her eyes stared at the ground as she blushes lightly.

" If she's gonna be there, then count me out." He said frowning as he turned around and walked towards the door but before he did he noticed Nomi's blushing face.

" Don't mind, Howard." He nervously smiled." He's always like that."

" It's okay, I know." She said rolling her eyes." Shall we go?"

" Wait."

" W-what is something wrong?"

" Well, your not going out dressed like that are you?"

" oh, yeah, your right." She closed her eyes and gestured her and and red and black feathers appeared and swerved around her, changing her clothes.

The change was simple, a black shirt with a red collar and two red circles with a green filled circle in the middle, a dark red varsity jacket with a dark green skirt with black leggings, and a pair of dark red combat boots. Even her hair style was slightly changed with the left side of her bright red hair being tucked behind her left ear, which revealed a black earring, with the red norisu nine emblem on it. The drastic change of clothes highlighted her appearance, making her appear even more pretty.

" How do I look?" She asked timidly, feeling a bit shy as she gaze lowered.

Randy looked at her and gave a gentle smile." You look burce, Nomi."

She blushed at hearing that. She brushed her left hair back behind her ear and ran her hand down her neck." Shall we go, then?." She asked.

" Yeah, lets." He replied smiling. He was happy she was finally talking to him. He wasn't quite sure, why he was so happyz but he ultimately didn't care.
