Chapter 5

We didn't find Tasha, apparently she has left with the others. Eric went back to his office to call Ivashkov (yeah, still sticking to the name). As he made his way to me, I can't help but to admire him still. Damn he's a fine specimen, and Eric thought I won't be distracted. He should have gotten an older man, then I won't be.

"You ready?" I ask him "So you know, we'll talk bad about guys, be ready"

"Not a problem, I won't be a bother" he replied

"You already are" I murmured to myself hoping he didn't hear me. Loudly I said "Let's go then"

We met bob at the entrance to the bar, I said "Hey Bob, how's it going" greeting him.

"Great, the girls are already here"

"Thanks, and he's with me" pointing to Nick.

"Go on in"

We made our way through the crowd till I found Tasha and the others. I looked back to wave him forward to where the girls are. Getting there I saw Tasha, Riley and Claire, it's gonna be a long night.

"Hey girls, we've got company and before you chew my head off about it, you might wanna wait till you see Eric, he told me to bring him" I explained.

"What are you talking about" Tasha asked "And we ordered you a drink"

"Everyone, say hi to Nick, the new doctor" I introduced him. He look surprised that I remember his name.

He waved "Hi" and smiled at them.

They chorused "Hey"

Tasha frowned, "It's supposed to be only us"

"I know, I'm sorry about that, but Eric didn't want him bored on the first night in town, so I indulge brought him" I said sitting down.

"How are we gonna talk boys" Riley whined.

"You still can, I could go mingle by the bar" he said

"Come on, you think I'm gonna leave you by yourself, think again, sit!"

"It's clear I'm not wanted here, or are you jealous" he asked raising an eyebrow

I already took my drink, his question made me choke on it. Coughing I replied "Jealous, really, sorry Ivashkov but you got the wrong chick, I don't get jealous" I emphasize.

Frowning, Claire slurred "weren't you jealous when you found Angie with your boyfriend?" Tasha was trying to get her to shut up, but the girl is clearly gone and doesn't notice.

I grit my teeth "No, I wasn't jealous, I was furious and no boy talk"

"But it was just getting interesting, go on. Claire, right?" he said interested.

I narrowed my eyes at Claire daring her to talk, but she didn't care "Yeah, she caught her boyfriend red-handed cheating. What an asshole" she continued.

I didn't want to be part of this anymore, so I stand up and say " Excuse me, I gotta use the ladies" and left.

Nicholas pov

I watched her go, that must be a sensitive subject, and I'm curious. I want to know more.

"What do you mean he cheated?"

Blondie answered, I'm guessing she's Tasha, "Cheating is cheating, he was with another woman. Now let's not talk about it, if you want to know more, talk to ash yourself. If she wants you to know, she'll tell you."

It's clear she's close to Ash, and want to stop the conversation,
"It's cool. What do you want to talk about then?"

"Do you have a girlfriend?ĺ Riley asked. I remember, she's the one that was flirting with me earlier.

"It's none of your business Riles," Tasha said.

"It's okay" and to Riley I said, "No, I don't" she was about to say something else but beat her to it. "No, I'm not interested in hooking with anyone now"

She looked dissapointed, I was about to ask of Ashley when she came back, smelling like alcohol. I'm guessing she went to the bar and not the bathroom.

"What did I miss" she asked.

"Nothing much, just Riley acting like her slutty self" Tasha told her.

"Hey" Riley protested "I was just curious as to whether he's single or not" she shrugged.

She looked out of it, "Who's single?" she asked.

Claire points at me, "Him"

She raises her brows at me, "Really, and that's supposed to be newz how?"

"Meaning?"

"Looking at you, people will know you're not meant to be with one person" she shrugged.

"That's how I was born, can't do much about that"

"I gotta go, I feel a headache coming on, I think I drank too much" she said.

"What did u drink, just that shot we ordered for you?" Claire asked

"She was just at the bar idiot" Tasha replied her

Shaking her head, Ashley said "I'll catch you guys in the office on Monday" To Tasha, "No calls, transfer all calls to Sandy, let her work a bit"

"Okay, take care"Tasha told her pointedly.

"Yeah, yeah. I might hook up with someone. Who knows" she said standing, or should I say wobbling.

"You know you can't go home like that, right?" I told her

"And what's it to you" she tried to put her hands on her hips to look intimidating, but drunk that she is, she doesn't.

"I came with you, it's my responsibility to drive you home"

"What are you, my keeper? I can drive myself thank you very much"

"Tell me then, where are your Keys?" I ask folding my arms.

"They are right........." she stops looking for them. "Where did you put them" she narrowed her eyes me.

"Thats for me to know and you to find out" To the ladies I said "Thank you for having me even though I ruined your night" I stood up to leave.

"You're welcome. We'll have you anytime" Riley says with a suggestive tone.

"You are not driving me home" She stumps her foot like a five year old. I did the most logical thing, I carried her and toss her over my shoulder, and damn she weighs almost nothing.

"Put me down this instant" she says hitting me on my back.

"Bye ladies" As I(we) made my(our) way out of the bar.

I toss her in the passenger seat, buckled her in, then got in and drove off to her apartment.

"Address" I ask

She folds her arms and refused to answer. "Okay then," I pick my phone and dial Tasha, when she picks "Can you send me Ashley's home address please" I ask her

"Sure thing" She said, and a minute later, my phone beeps. I made my way through the weekend traffic to her apartment.

"You don't get to do that to me again, understand?" she slurred.

"Yes Ma'am" I mock salute her. "But I'm gonna walk you to your door" I said and left no room for arguments as I made my way into the building, groaning, she follows me.
