Chapter 19

I found myself in the cafeteria celebrating, what? I don't know. I just know that after the conference Nick and Eric Dragged me out and head straight here where we were met with others including Roland.

"Your presentation was spectacular" Roland said.

"Yeah, it was" the female among them said, i think her name is Sasha or Susan, i can't really remember.

"When did you write the topic, and can you come present at my hospital?" a Dr. Donovan asked "It doesn't have to be different, i mean you can use the same presentation"

"Guys, one at a time, our resident celebrity is still in shock" Nick said.

"So, what do you think, aren't you glad i signed you up? Eric asked smiling.

"Thank you for giving me this opportunity Eric, you're the best" I said hugging him. "Thanks to you all as well" i said, then i faced Donovan "Where and when do you want me?"

This went on and on, the questions and answers, then came the food, Nick took the wine and filled all the cups on the table, then he tapped the glass with his fork.

"A toast, to a successful conference" he looked to Donovan and Susan(finally got her name) and lifted his glass "Making new friends"  he then looked at me "Keeping the old ones and making new memories" he said winking, then he facing Eric "To the person who is responsible for us being here" then he raised his glass and every one raised theirs as well and we all drank it.

Then conversations started among everyone, and we started eating.

"What time is your flight? Roland asked.

"Its in the morning" Eric answered "It will give us enough time before we go in for work"

Nick's phone rang, he checked the screen and looked around as if he was looking for someone.

"If you will excuse me, i have to be somewhere" he said standing up "Where are you" he said to the other person on the line as he left.

I wondered who he was talking to.

"So, will you be available for a seminar anytime soon?" Donovan asked me breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Sure, just let me know" i replied "You can get to me through Eric"

"Will do" he said.

As the conversation continued, i did't feel like sticking around much longer so i excused myself to go to my room. As i made my way to my room, i made it just in time to see Nick hug a lady in the lobby. I paused for a bit and watched as he pulled back and started talking to her, i wanted to go there to find out who she is, but it will make me look nosy, which i'm not. 

Okay, maybe i'm a bit curious as to who she is.

I tried my best to ignore them both and went into the elevator. As i entered into the elevator, the woman's gaze and mine met, she smiled at me and waved. Nick turned around to see who she's waving at but the doors closed at that moment.

I didn't know what to make of that. Does she know me, i certainly don't know her and i'm sure if i met someone like that i would remember a face like that.

I rode the elevator to my floor and made my way to my room, i made sure i locked the door, i didn't want any unwanted visitors in my room.
