Chapter 10

Hi guys, I'm back and I'm sorry it's been a while, I've been really busy with my new job and I haven't had time to write, but I'm here and I will try to update once a week (probably weekends), I do hope you bear with me.

I woke up in the living room warm, then I realized I was lying close a warm body, I slept beside Nick, with my head on his chest and his arm around my waist.

I looked up and saw that he was still sleeping. Not wanting to wake him, I tried to move from his embrace only for him to tighten his hold on my waist.

I sighed and took the time to admire him closely, he actually is really handsome, with long lashes I would kill for, I understand now what all the fuss is about, women falling for him and wanting him in their beds.

I have to admit, he is annoying, but he has redeeming qualities.

I smiled, and looked at his face once more only to see those beautiful green eyes staring back at me.

"See anything you like?" he asked

I rolled my eyes and moved to get off him only for him to pull me up so I'm lying on top of him.

"Aren't you going to give me a good morning kiss" he puckered his lips

I leaned down as if to kiss him, and then I smacked him.

"Ow!" he yelled letting me go "Seriously woman! I asked for a kiss, there's no need to be violent"

"At least you let me go" I replied smiling.

I left him on the couch to go take a shower when I heard him on the phone. I finished my shower and called him inside to do the same.

"Who were you talking to this early, the hospital?" I asked him when he came inside.

"No one" he gestured to the bathroom "May i?" I nodded.

30 mins later, we left the house to the hospital, separately.

As we made our way through the lobby, nurses were staring at us.

"Why are they staring at us?" I whispered.

"I don't know" he whispered back.

"Maybe they think we are together" I continued.

"Why are we whispering?" he whispered back again "Besides, we are together, are we not?" he raised an eyebrow.

I rolled my eyes "Together, as in 'together'" I made the quote signs with my fingers on the second together.

"Oh" he said understanding
I shook my head.

"Want to be there when I talk to Andrew?" he asked me.

I wanted to protest, but when I looked into his eyes, I wondered what he knew for him to ask me that, I shrugged and said ok.

We made our way to the room where his patient is, and we found both of them in there, with Carol fast asleep.

"Good morning" we said together.

"Morning" Drew replied.

"I would like to talk to you" Nick said, he looked at Carol "in my office if you don't mind"

When we got outside, he asked "Is everything alright, any complications?"

"No, not at all"

None of us said anything as we made our way to his office, Drew was looked at me like I had something to say, and I just shrugged.
