Part 4: Wolf

Whatever it was didn't move away from Jimin but the other was too scared in that moment to look up.

But he knew what it was.

Slowly his eyes started to travel upwards from the floor and saw features what further confirmed his hunch.

Giant brown paws...

Four strong distinct legs...

A well built body....

Jimin kept looking up and up until he was met directly with the face of the wolf.

A wolf he recognised as to roaming the back garden at night fall... on full moons...

Jimin mentally face palmed realising he really didn't think it through whilst he also tried to come up with a plan to deal with his current dilemma.

The wolf tilted its head cutely then pushed its head under Jimin's hands causing the other to freeze before slowly stroking it.

"A friendly... wolf?" Jimin said more to himself than to anyone else but surprisingly got a nod from the wolf causing him to have a mini heart attack and jump back making the wolf go lower and look guilty.

Jimin held onto his chest as he reluctantly asked "Can you... understand me?" Getting another nod again, this time more subtle.

Jimin tried to control his breathing and heart rate as he said "Okayyyyyyyy..." Trying to think of what to do next.

What he instantly thought of was stupid but worth a shot.

He timidly asked "Are you going to eat me?" Getting a strong head shake from the wolf who's eyes looked shocked and slightly panicked.

Jimin nodded and reached his hands forward noticing the panic and reassured "It's okay. It's okay. Just checking. It's okay..." until his hands landed on the wolf's head again.

And with that Jimin felt better and a lot less scared in the weird circumstance.

He stayed quiet for a moment before asking "So wolfie. Do you have a name?" beginning to stroke the animals head since it was surprisingly soft.

The wolf nodded eagerly in response.

Jimin hummed in thought before asking "Can you tell me?" Even he admitted it sounded dumb asking a wolf for its name but if it understood it might be able to tell him.

What Jimin didn't expect was for the wolf to nod and start pulling at the hem of his hoodie to try and get him up.

To which he reluctantly agreed.

The wolf got lower and confused Jimin so he asked "What do you want me to do?" Getting a over the shoulder nod from the wolf.

Jimin thought before unsurely asking "You want me to get on your back?" Getting a nod yet again.

Jimin looked back at the house and then the wolf before reluctantly climbing on thinking maybe it was all a dream since what was happening seemed unreal to him.

He still couldn't process what was going on, even when the wolf started to move suddenly causing him to hold on very tightly so he didn't fall off.

There was no turning back for Jimin.

And like that they were gone.
