The next day you woke up and saw your friends getting up. Sonya and Sofia both said good morning to you and you said them back. Sofia didn't look at you. "Hey Sofia are you okay?""Yeah I am."She said rudely and Sonya gave her a glare. You squinted your eyes and looked at them. You got out of your bed and made your bed while they went to the bathroom one by one. After them you wen there and took a short bath. You came out and saw your bed messed up and Sofia and Sonya were nowhere to be seen."What?Who did this?" You made a confused face and made it again. You smiled at the thought of your jet. You got out of the room and saw that Newt was coming out of his room too. "Hey." You looked at him and smiled. "Hey."He said smiling, he never smiled in the mornings, he always just said everything in a monotone voice. You both went to the table and saw Sonya and Sofia,Harry and James sitting eating their breakfast. A few days had passed since you flew (y/c/j/n). You had flown alone as well two times while the rest three times was with Newt like the first time. He was your flying partner Andy you were glad because You wanted to discover more about Newt. His attitude towards you had changed a lot since your first flight. Sonya and Sofia didn't talk to you through the whole breakfast."Hey guys." You said. "Hey."James and Harry said in unison. Newt just said a simple good morning. You sat on your respective seats and you looked at your watch. It was 6 am. At 2pm you and Newt had to continue your routine of flying but today was a bit different, today you had to go practice your target and definitely not in a residential area, somewhere clear somewhere far away from the main city, somewhere in a desert or ocean. You were more than ready. The rest of the people were piling into the room. You and Newt were the first people this year to fly your respective jets. You had grown used to flying and you were more than excite, you wanted to fly your jet every time. You loved it. It seemed heroic. You were a pilot officer but you wanted to be at the highest rank, AIR VICE MARSHAL, you finished eating your breakfast and went it your Room and came out of the Academy to see your jet being checked by several trainers, you went towards them and greeted them, you turned around to see that Newt's jet was being checked as well and he was talking to one of the trainers. You were growing nervous. You prayed to God and you felt relaxed, you sat in your jet and fasten the several seatbelts, you wore your helmet and closed the aircraft capsule. You turned on the switches for engine propulsion and GPS etc. Your jet's bombs were on stand by. You activated the engines and hydraulic systems and radar,you used ACM to position your plane and moved in a linear motion,towards your runway. You looked over to Newt and saw that he was about to take off. You accelerated and took off. It felt amazing. You got a microphone and speaker to talk to Newt, just in case you there was an error in the microphone epconnecting you to the airforce base. "Be careful."Newt said softly. He always said this same thing whenever you guys went to a flight."you too."you looked over to your side and saw Newt, he turned his head and gave you a thumbs-up and said "be safe" in a sign language. You smiled but he couldn't see your smile because of he helmet and mask you were wearing, you gave him a thumbs-up and turned your head and flew away from him because you were told to rotate while flying in a linear motion. You loved it. You were then told to dive and do some twirls,you did that and then it was Newt's turn . You saw him do twirls..........gracefully. Newt surely knew how to fly his jet with grace. He accelerated and went under your jett and you revolved around his jet while doing twirls, as you were told, "nice work"you heard Newt sat. You smiled because he never compliments anyone."You too." He dived and did a 360 degree amd rose a bit higher and twirled as he rose in the air, he came back and this was your cue to follow the instructions of the officer. You decelerated a bit to be behind Newt and then rose and performed a 360 degree above him and accelerated and performed a tailslide two times consecutively and rotated around your jet's axis. You then dived till 1km and then sharply turned and moved under Newt's jet in the opposite direction and then again performed a very large tailslide which brought you back in front of Newt's jet. He moved to the right side and came to your level so that you guys were side-by-side. You accelerated and he did as well. You made it to a clear area and activated your torpedo and shot it in a clear space."Yes!" You put your fist up in the air and thanked God. You heard Newt chuckle lightly. Newt was about to shoot so you turned back and moved behind him and maintained a safe distance from his jet. He shot it and said a small yes and you chuckled and smiled. You saw him looking at you through his aircraft capsule and you gave him a thumbs-up. You reached the base on time and you circled the base as Newt landed and when he came to a hault, you carefully landed on the runway a decreased your velocity, decelerating. You saw Newt looking at you through your capsule with a smile on his face. You came to a hault and took off your mask and the seatbelts. You removed your helmet a d got turned every system off and rechecked it. You got out. Newt came to you Andy you both went to get your progress sheets which were only filled with excellent performances."Hey , ............(y/n)...... d-do you want to sit on the runway with me and just talk?""runway?""yeah... you don't me have to if you don't want to.""No I will."You both went to the runway and sat there and watched the sun set which made you realised that how far you guys had travelled and for how long. It was half past five. You both sat on the runway. "Soooo you were great out there."Mewt said as he looked at you with a small smile."You too. I couldn't believe that I could ever to a tailslide.""Me too.I was shocked when I did a 360 degree." He said with a hint of enthusiasm in his voice. The sunrays were piercing through your eyes so you wore your sun glasses and looked around. "Newt,...... can I ask you a question?""yeah sure" he said as he furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the sky."please if you don't want to answer it then you don't have to. I am just curious.""go ahead.""Why are you so quiet, I mean you are awfully quiet.""I know what you are trying to say. People have asked me this question even Harry and James but I never said anything but I will tell you.""Why me?""I don't know because maybe I am closer to you than I am to Harry or James. Whatever it is I don't know but I will tell you the reason." There was a long pause and you looked down at the runway with one leg straight while the other leg was bent (you get the picture don't you?) You both were sitting in this way. He looked down and took a deep breath and started."i was 6 years old and I was like any other kid, playing around, my whole family was in airforce, army or navy. My grandmother was an army doctor, my parents were fighter pilots. There was this war in (year) between (y/c) and (y/c/e)(your country's enemy). He sniffed. My parents had to go leaving me with my grandmother who was retired but was very ill. A friend of my mother took care of me and her. My parents loved each other, they could give up their lives for each other and also for thei country. They were at war and .........(sniffs), my mom shot down 20 jets of (y/c/e) but she didn't know that there were more behind her. My father knew that and he shot down that aircraft but...........(sniffs)" You put your hand on his shoulder and he looked at you straight in your eyes. He looked down and saw a rock and threw it as far as possible and spoke up."then again another aircraft of (y/c/e) started Tom speed towards my mom, she tried to shoot it but couldn't am doing at the last moment my dad came between both of the jets to stop the incoming torpedo from the (y/c/e)'s aircraft. Luckily my mom was saved but she was badly injured but my dad,he was crushed between both of the aircrafts but his planned worked, the enemy aircraft bolted towards (the name of a place in your country.) and the Pilot died, my mom's amd dad's jet also bolted towards the same place,..........my mom tried to eject but she couldn't so she also crashed and .............." you gave Newt a side hug and put an arm around his shoulder." You know that your parents are in a better place. Now.""They sacrificed their lives for each other and the greatest of all, for their country. They would be in heaven...........(sigh)........in a better place.""After some quiet time Newt looked at you."thank you for comforting me."" It's okay. I will there for you whenever you need me." You smiled and he smiled back. You looked at the sky and let a tear drop. Newt saw this."can you tell me about your past?" You looked down."I will tell you but not now." You looked at him while tears were threatening to spill out of your eyes." It's okay. I understand." He looked at the ground. You got up and threw a rock as far as possible and got up. Newt did the same and started walking with you. You looked up at the sky and you longed for another flight. "I want to fly again.""me too," you both chuckled. "Let's go inside." You both went inside and changed into your regular clothes and went to the dinner area where you sat with Newt. "Yo!(y/n)." Harry said."yo!harry." You said back "you did great out there, I wasn't expecting this from you.""really?"you raised an eyebrow and said sarcastically.Harry smirked at you. "Hi guys."James said."where are Sonya and Sofia?""uh...huh.....ummmm..."Harry stuttered. "Where are they?"You asked again."After Sonya's flight she felt a bit ill so they are in the infirmary." James said cautiously "After dinner I will go there." You said to them. After dinner you headed towards the infirmary and you saw Sonya lying on the bed."Hey, are you alright?"you asked her. "Just stay away from me.""yeah get out."Sofia came."what?""you heard her. Now get out."you went out but you were shocked. You were going to your room, your head was down, you didn't know what you did. Newt called your name several times but you were too engulfed in your thoughts that you didn't hear him. He furrowed his eyebrows and stopped you by grabbing your wrist. He was worried."what happened?" You didn't look at him. "I need sometime alone..........I will tell you after wards.""don't do anything that could harm you."You didn't understand him but you just nodded and newt gently released your wrist and you went to your room and looked at the stars outside and prepared for sleep. On the other hand, Newt couldn't sleep because he had grown so close to you during this time that he couldn't see you worried. He didnt want you to be worried or sad or hurt. He cared for you and he never wanted you to leave him alone because every person that he loved...........left him.........but he prayed to God for you to be healthy and have long and happy life and he couldn't lose you because...............he cared for you and never wanted you to be alone and this can only prove that.
