By the next month you had a very strict schedule, continuous training and flying and practicing of your target because there were some rumours about (y/c/e) attacking (y/c). Every pilot officer had a strict schedule amd routine. Sonya and Sofia were alright but they didn't talk to you much.Newt was more friendly towards you. He would smile at you whenever you talked to him but he was worried for his country , he loved (y/c) and he would give up his life for his country. You were currently practicing and looking at your radar every now and then for any suspicions. You were flying alone but of course God was with you. You smiled at how God protects the people he loves madman you could see this quality in Newt as well. It is true that most of the qualities of God are found in his creations. Newt wanted to go with you like you guys always do but had to be stopped by Harry and James. Suddenly, you picked up something on your radar. It was an aircraft..........and........not one of (y/c)'s. It was of (y/c/e)'s. Rage filled you. How dare they break the rule of the boundaries. It entered your country about 5km."pilot officer(y/n)!-" you cut him off."I know and I am going to handle it. The aircraft was straight heading towards you. You fixed your target and squinted your eyes. You activated the torpidos and shot one at the aircraft and it tried to dodge it but failed miserably. It fell on a clear area and not in a resedential area. You thanked God and punched the air."Yes!""pilot officer(y/n) good work. Now come back to the base.""copy that." You went back to the base and as soon as you landed and got out the jet you were showered with questions and congratulations. You protected your country and you smiled but it turned into a frown when you realised that a full war can occur between both of the countries. Newt was waiting for you in front of your jet , with his uniform on. "You okay?"worry was evident in his voice. "I am fine but......""but what?" He stepped closer."I have this weird feeling that a war is about to start soon.""Hey,... God is with us so nothing will happen but if anything happens he will be with us." You guys went to the other wing commanders and found them sitting in a circle and talking about something. They saw you guys and congratulated you. "Congratulations (y/n) but we are in deep trouble. If an aircraft from (y/c/e) has entered our country then something big is being planned out there and we have to figure it out an stop it and we are all in this together." Then as if on cue you all heard another plane pass by. You looked at each other with wide eyes. "Lets go!lets go!" You guys ran towards the jets. "Pilots and wing commanders incoming jet from (y/c/e)."" As if we didn't know." You quickly sat on your jet, checking the fuels and engines and turning them on.wearng the mask and closing the capsule you looked over to Newt, he looked at you and nodded. You started your jet and prepared for take off. Newt did the same. It was night and the worst time for flight but you had to do it." Be careful."Newt said quietly to you through the microphone." I don't want to lose you too." He said but you heard it and smiled. You took off and turned your jet because you could saw a jet not of your country on your radar. You accelerated and prepared your torpedos. It seemed as if it saw you because it was diverting your target. You had to confuse and distract him. You did a tailslide which caused that you were in front of the enemy jet. You wasted no time in shooting your torpedo. It hit right on the target. You could see more jets coming but they were of your country and one of the other country. You saw Newt's jet. He shot down it by twirling around him so that he would b distracted. You smiled. You both went towards the North to check for more jets but thank God there was no other jet. You guys headed towards the base as you were told by the officers on the microphone." You okay?" Newt asked you through the microphone. "Yeah......................I......."" Is there anything wrong?"" No.....I just.......what will happen in a full war." You said looking at the stars above. "Destruction and death." You heard him say. "I don't know my parents." You said out of nowhere" what?""Yeah you asked me to tell you about my parents.........so yeah........I don't know them."He looked at you as he was flying side by side with you. "I........am......sorry."" No it's okay. Maybe it was better."" How?"" I don't know but maybe there was something good in it." You let a tear fall of your face and you sniffed. Newt looked at the stars and exhaled deeply. You saw a torpedo pass you by. You were caught off guard. "(Y/n)! You okay?"" I am fine. We have to go towards west. " You both turned towards west and saw a (y/c/e)'s jet coming towards you. "Why is it not shooting?" Newt asked. "It is a powerful one, more than our's. We have to shoot it down together."" I am with you."" Okay on the count of three.""one! Two!three!!!" You both went torpedos amd it hit it directly."" No! The pilot has ejected!"You screamed. You and Newt communicated with other wing commanders and people on the tower guiding you. They sent a message to the army and it was on the army. "I was so stupid." "You were not."Newt said and pointed downwards. The person who had ejected was dead."but......how?"" Lets just say team work." You could sense that he smirked and you smirked as well." Pilot (y/n) head to the base."" They are calling me back to the base.""me too." You both,After 30 minutes you guys reached the base. You saw Sonya and Sofia getting off their jets. You got off your plane. You guys were taken by other pilots to the (person who is at the highest rank of the Air Force.) "You two have been promoted."" You are now(fifth rank was of your airforce)(y/n) and ( fifth rank of your airforce)." You both looked at each other and smiled.
And he never wanted that smile to leave your face.
