Ryder's POV

"Why the hell are my eyes green? Is it normal?" I asked, frantically. Deaton smiled. "It's extremely rare. There are only two ways a werewolves eyes can glow green." Deaton explained. "What two ways?" I asked. "Well either you should be a true alpha, but has been forced to kill or you have the same blood line as a true alpha." Deaton said, immediately turning to Scott. "What's a true alpha?" I asked. Scott then looked at Deaton, the same way Deaton looked at him. "It's when a werewolf can become an alpha based on his sense of character and will power to try and protect everyone. True alpha's have also never killed." Deaton explained. "I don't know any true alpha's." I admitted. Scott took a step forward. "You do now." He said. My eyes went wide, and I gave him a confused look. "You... You're a true alpha?" I asked, dumbfounded. He nodded. "Is there a possibility that you two are blood related?" Deaton asked. We were all silent for a moment. "Yes." I finally said. "How?" Scott asked. I took a deep breath. "We have the same dad." I admitted. Scott tilted his head to the side in a confused matter. "When dad left you and your mom and moved to San Francisco, he re-married... And that's where I came in." I explained. An angered look appeared on Scott's face. "Scott?" I whispered, terrified at how angry he is getting. "Why didn't anyone tell me this?" He growled. I shrugged, honestly not knowing the answer. "How did you find out?" He asked, breathing heavily. "I saw pictures in an email. I confronted him about it, but he denied it all." I said. His heart rate picked up, and his eyes began to glow their vibrant crimson. "Ryder you can calm him!" Deaton said quickly. "How?" I asked. "You two are blood brothers, you share a bond, a bond that can keep one another sane and in control." He explained. "Make your eyes glow and roar as if you were an alpha calming your beta." He added. I nodded and took a deep breath before stepping closer to Scott who was looking down, fists clenched, eyes glowing, and fangs extended. "Scott? Scott look at me." I said, but he ignored me and his fists began to bleed from his claws. I needed to work fast. "Scott!" I growled. He then slowly looked up at me, his face masked with hurt and anger. When he finally looked me in the eyes, I forced my own to glow and I roared at him. We stared into each others eyes for a moment and I saw him begin to relax a little. His breathing slowed, and his fangs retracted. He took a deep breath before his eyes flickered back to their usual dark brown, and I forced mine to do the same. "It worked." I said, with a little excitement. Scott gave me a small smile. He then walked over and hugged me. "You two might want to head on home, you have school tomorrow." Deaton said, handing Scott a towel for his hands. Scott took it and wiped his hands off, he then began to bend down to wipe up the floor. "Hey don't worry about that, I'll handle it." Deaton said. "It's ok Deaton, I can get it." Scott reassured. He finished and put the towel in the trash. "Thank you, now go home and get some sleep, both of you!" He ordered with a smile. We nodded to one another and walked out the back door. Scott sat on his bike, but I didn't follow him, and he gave me a confused look. "What's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head. "I have no where to go." I said, quietly. He grinned. "Ya you do." He said. I gave him a questioning look. He rolled his eyes. "Come on!" He demanded. I shook my head, smiling and hopped on the back of his bike.

We pulled up into the driveway of his house and cut the engine. I pulled my helmet off. "Scott, you don't have to do this." I said as I got off the bike. He then took his helmet off. "No, but I want to." He said, leaning the bike on its kick stand. "Ryder you're my brother. You're going to live in my house as my brother." He demanded, with a huge smile on his face. He threw his arm over my shoulder and led me up towards the front door, but he froze, pulling his arm off my shoulder before we got to the steps. "Scott?" I asked. "Dad is inside!" He growled. "What do we do?" I asked calmly. He shrugged. "I guess we deal with him head on." He admitted. I swallowed hard and nodded. We stepped inside and walked in to the living room and turned towards the kitchen, seeing our dad leaning against the counter, talking on the phone. He turned to face the counter before hanging up his phone and setting it on the marble counter top. He rubbed his face with his hands, then turned to face us. His eyes grew wide when he saw me standing beside Scott. "Hey... Dad." I said. "Ryder... What are you doing here?" He asked. "I came to meet my brother, the brother that you thought you could hide from me." I growled. "Ryder you shouldn't be here." He said. "I beg to differ! He should be here, with a brother that loves him and a mother figure, that would love him for who he is!" Scott growled. "I didn't tell either of you about each other to protect you both!" Dad yelled. "You left me in San Francisco, with a dead mother and a homicidal half brother, when I could have been here with a brother that would treat me better!" I shouted. I could feel myself grow angrier by the second. "Adrian isn't homicidal Ryder! You're overreacting!" He yelled. "He killed mom!" I roared, feeling my breathing get heavier. "Adrian wouldn't kill your mother!" He growled. "Then tell me why he killed my friend and almost killed the rest of my friends including Scott!" I roared in an animalistic tone. I felt my claws begin to form in my clinched fist. Scott must have realized that I was beginning to shift. "You know what? We will discuss this over the weekend! We have school tomorrow and its getting late!" Scott said, putting a hand on my shoulder, turning me around to head to the stairs.
