Two weeks later- Daniel's POV
We all gather on the back patio at Jonah and Leah's house. Jonah says, "Ok we need to start thinking about what we're going to do now."
"We need a new manager, that's pretty obvious," Corbyn replies.
Jack says, "I don't understand why we can't just manage ourselves."
"I'm sorry, have you met us?" Jonah replies sarcastically, "We'd never get anything done that's why we need a manager." I stand up, run my fingers through my hair, start to pace back and forth, and sigh. Everyone looks at me in confusion for a minute not saying anything until Corbyn asks, "Something wrong Daniel?"
Jonah comments, "You've been sulking around here a lot the past two weeks." I turn around and look at the four of them blankly. I sigh, "I can't stop thinking about the last thing I said to him."
"To David?" Jonah asks.
I sit back down and nod.
Corbyn asks, "What did you say?"
I take a deep breath before explaining, "He pulled me aside at the party and told me that he didn't like that I was engaged and that made me really mad. The last thing I said to him was I don't want you here, and then he died an hour later."
"Well you had a right to be mad at him, and what happened was not your fault," Corbyn says.
"I know it wasn't, but I still can't help feeling guilty about how we ended things," I reply.
"How did the fire even start?" Jack asks.
Zach replies, "The dryer caught fire, and by the time I saw it, it was too late to do anything."
Jack says to Jonah, "So much for you and Leah having your own house."
"That's ok," Jonah responds, "I think it's good for the band to stick together anyways."
"Maybe we can by another house next door," Zach says.
"We'd have to kick out the people living there," Jonah answers.
"True, but maybe they would like a free concert," Zach smirks.
Jonah replies, "You can't bribe someone to move out of their house."
"I guess that just means wherever we go we're not going to be able to be all together," I chime in.
Corbyn complains, "That sucks! We're a band, we shouldn't have to separate."
"Maybe we could by a few houses that are being built," Jack says.
Zach gets excited, "You mean we could build our own house?!?"
Jack replies, "No," Zach gets disappointed, "We can buy a row of houses that are being built before they go on the market."
Jonah responds, "I guess that could work."
"That would be pretty cool actually," Corbyn says, "We would basically have a whole neighborhood to ourselves."
Jack responds, "Yeah. We could have one house for Leah and Jonah, a house for Daniel and y/n, a house for Corbyn and Christina, a house for me and Raven, and a house for Zach and Cheyenne."
"And in the middle we could have the biggest house be the Why Don't We house!" Zach replies excitedly.
"Yeah," Jack answers, "We can hangout, party, and make music at the Why Don't We house."
"I think that's a great idea, but what neighborhood?" I ask.
"They're building a row of houses on the road beside Glendale Elementary School. That's only a few miles away," Jonah answers.
Zach responds, "Then Caleb can do Glendale Elementary School!"
"So we're doing this?" I ask.
"I guess so," Jonah replies.
Corbyn says, "Wait, we still haven't figured out who our manager is gonna be."
"Why don't we make the girls our managers," Zach laughs, "See what I did there?"
"You're full of it today," Jonah responds.
"I think it's a good idea though, making the girls our managers," Corbyn answers.
"You mean, all of them?" Jonah asks.
"Don't you think that could get a little chaotic," I respond.
"We should ask them about it and see what their thoughts are," Corbyn answers.
"We already know Cheyenne and Raven are not gonna wanna be managers," Jack says.
Corbyn replies, "Yeah, not Christina either."
"So that just leaves Y/n and Leah," Jonah responds.
"They do work pretty well with each other," I comment.
"Ok now we need to ask them," Jonah replies.
Zach exclaims, "Guys, I just realized that this is the first time it's been just the 5 of us since the tour."
"Woah. That's sad," I respond.
Zach says, "We should go somewhere, have some fun."
"Now?" Jonah asks.
Zach replies, "Yeah."
"Where should we go?" Corbyn asks.
"The movies? Bowling?" I wonder.
"No, I'm thinking we should do something more extravagant." Zach says.
"Extravagant? Wow, I didn't think you could say a word that big," Jack laughs.
"Ha ha," Zach replies sarcastically.
"Where are you wanting to go?" Jonah asks.
"Let's go to a club," Zach says.
"A club?" Corbyn replies.
Zach responds, "Yeah."
"We're not old enough to get into a club, especially not you," Jonah answers.
"Oh really? Because these say otherwise," Zach says as he pulls out fake ID's.
"Bro, where did you get these?" Jack asks.
"I know a guy," Zach smirks.
Jonah demands, "Dude seriously, where did you get these?"
"A friend of mine back home makes them," Zach answers.
"Well we can't use them," Jonah says.
Zach begs, "Come on Jonah, loosen up. It'll be fun."
Jonah demands, "We are not committing a felony."
"Hey Jonah," Jack replies, "Just this once."
Jonah smiles, "Ok, just this once then we're throwing them away."
"Yes! Let's go," Zach exclaims with excitement.
