Chapter 20 - Dumbfounded

Ella's POV

Kakatapos lang ng exams namin kanina. Hay, Buti nalang! Sakit sa ulo ang mga questions. Lalong lalo na yung Maths.. Muntik na akong ma nosebleed sa kakasagot. Choss!

During exam, sinulyapan ko yung apat. Si Chloe, mukang hirap na hirap din. Palagi niyang minamasahe ang temples niya pag di siya maka sagot. Mukang hindi rin mapakali. Laging nakakunot ang noo. Si Boyd, Jeff at Francis, ayun. They found it very easy for them. Piece of cake daw. Anong klaseng utak ang meron sila? Ba't ang dali ng Maths para sakanila? Okay, hanggang dyan nalang. Dami kong daldal. ✌

....

Nasa canteen kami, kumakain. Like duh, that's where people eat. Ok,ok. Serious na. Chloe, dropped her pen and it rolled away. She stood up and bend to pick it. But when suddenly....

"Porky, yung pwet mo dumudugo!" Boyd shouted but only the four of us could hear. Medyo malayo layo ang ibang estudyante saamin.

"Ha?! Anong dumudugo?!" Napatingin si Chloe sa likod ng skirt niya at lumaki ang mga mata niya. I could feel her shyness kasi nga naman, tatlo ang mga lalaki na kasama namin dito

"I think you need to--" Boyd

"Ellaaa.... Meron ka bang extra? GRRR! Nakakahiya!" Chloe said while covering the back of her skirt. I quickly took a 'napkin' inside my bag and brought her to the toilet.

I borrowed an extra skirt from the school clinic, but the nurse gave it to us for free, since she understands us why. Chloe then quickly changed and she decided to go to the library. She doesn't want to go back to the canteen because she was still shy about the incident.

I took her stuffs at the canteen and brought it to her. I told the boys why and they nodded. Buti mabait sila ngayon, especially si Boyd. Usually magaasar na yun pag si Chloe ang usapan.

Since tapos na ang exams, (buti nalang) our teachers let us to relax our minds from stress. She let us to do anything basta 'wag magingay. That sounds pretty fair to me. I took out my favorite novel from John Green and started reading it.

"John Green.. He's a really good author. My favorite book by him is the 'Looking For Alaska' " Francis

"Talaga? I didn't know you read stories?"

"Let's say bookworm din ako. Hindi lang halata. I only read pag bored na talaga ako. My Ate is the one who influenced me in reading." I nodded in reply. I continued reading but I was shocked by his question...

"Kung linigawan kita, papayag ka ba?"

"A-ahm.. Hindi ko talaga alam eh? Ayaw pa ni Daddy mag ka boyfriend ako"

"Hindi naman kita pinipilit at hinihingi na maging girlfriend ko, ligaw pa lang. Ok lang? Let me court you, even if it takes a long time" I was too shocked. I didn't know what to answer.

"It's okay kung ayaw mo. Hindi naman kita pinipilit. I understand that you don't--"

"No Francis. Don't--"

"No? It's okay... I--"

"Oppss, ako muna ha? No Francis, 'wag mong sabihin yan. You can court me. Pero hanggang dun lang muna tayo. Wala munang gf/bf for now. Strict si Daddy. Sa totoo lang,..." I paused for a while. I took a deep breath and looked at him.
