Consider this an April Fools special 🤗👍🏼

It was finally April 1st, the best day of the year. And April 1st meant fun. And fun meant pranks. And pranks meant public humiliation. So maybe April 1st wasn't the best day of the year after all.

Jesse woke up to the annoying beeping of his alarm clock. He slammed the snooze button and slowly sat up when he noticed something odd.

His nails were colored in various bright colors of the rainbow.

Jesse sighed deeply when he realized what was going on. His sister was playing pranks on him again, as always on April Fools day. It was quite a tradition for the siblings, actually. April Fools was their best and only good excuse to prank each other, and neither of them were planning on missing out on such a fascinating celebration.

Jesse looked at his hands again. His nails actually looked really neat, especially since the nail polish was applied in his sleep. Luckily, Jesse saw his sisters prank coming. Don't think he didn't have anything planned for today.

"JESSE WHERE THE GOSH DARN HECK DID YOU PUT MY SKETCHBOOK?!" Jess screamed loudly. Her sketchbook was basically a diary to her, except for writing her deepest darkest secrets in it she just made drawings and doodles. But if she ever were to lose the sketchbook she'd probably die.

Jesse snickered quietly to himself when he heard his sister's scream. He walked to his desk to grab his phone but only to realize it wasn't there. There was a yellow sticky note in it's place.

Seriously? You have Petra's birthday as your combination? It only took me 2 tries to get in!

-Jess

Maybe having his crush's birthday as the combination for his phone wasn't the best idea in the world. But at least he could never forget it. Petra's Birthday and the combo.

Jess was going to suffer for this. As Jesse crumpled up the note and threw it in the trash can, he thought of different ways to get her back. He quickly put on his uniform and made his way to the bathroom, but was stunned when he looked in the mirror. There was a small black mustache on his face, most likely scribbled on with a permanent marker. 'Classic Jess..' Jesse thought to himself. He just finished up in the bathroom and walked downstairs with his bag on his shoulder. His mother and Jess were already in the kitchen having breakfast.

"Good morning hon-" Jesse's mom stopped mid sentence when she looked at her son. Jesse glanced over at his sister, who was trying her best to keep herself from laughing.

"You're lucky I went easy on you this year." Jesse sighed, sitting down. "But next year! You're going to have a bad time."

The sibling quickly ate their breakfast and got a ride to school from their mother. They stepped out of the car and separated ways to go to their classes. Jesse made his way to history class and sat down at the empty desk next to Lukas, who gave him a questioning look.

"Are you okay? You look like hell." Lukas chuckled nervously.

"Oh I just came back." Jesse answered sarcastically.

Lukas raised an eyebrow. "Care to tell me what's up?"

Jesse glanced around the classroom to see if his teacher wasn't paying attention to them. "Long story short? It's April Fools, your girlfriend is insane, and I need some sleep." He sighed and rested his chin on the palm of his hand. "But other than that, it's going great."

"Hey, don't be like that. I know that deep down you love your sister." Lukas reminded him.

"Know is a strong word." Jesse pouted, when he noticed Petra walk into the classroom. He couldn't help but stare at his wonderful crush. Jesse still remembered the first time he met her. It was the first week of school, pretty boring and all when suddenly she walked into the room. From that moment, everything changed for him.

Jesse's eyes widened when he snapped back to reality and realized the situation he was in. He quickly hid behind his textbook, not wanting Petra to see him. Or more specifically the frickin' mustache on his face.

This was going to be an.. interesting day, to say the least.

Jesse spent the duration of his classes coming up with possible ways to avoid social interaction, because he really didn't feel like talking to people today. Mainly because of his colored nails and the mustache, but also because he just didn't like to talk to people.

The bell finally rang and lunch rolled around. Jesse dropped off his books in his locker and made his way into the cafeteria. His eyes scanned the place and landed on Lukas, his skin turning bright red as his girlfriend wrapped her arms around him. Jesse smiled a little and walked over to them.

"Hey guys." Jesse greeted as he sat down.

Jess glared at him. "Hello sketchbook thief."

Jesse rolled his eyes jokingly. "You're still mad about that?"

"Yes! Yes I am!" Jess exclaimed, pouting. "I put my heart and soul into that sketchbook, and then you just.. steal and hide it? I'm sorry Jesse, but that's low. Even for you."

Jesse tried to keep himself from laughing. It might sound weird, but Jess was the cutest sister he ever had. Technically she was the only sister he'd ever had, but she was still adorable. Jesse sighed heavily in defeat.

"Fine. It's in the small cardboard box under your bed."

Jess was shocked. "ARE YOU FRICKIN' SERIOUS THAT'S NOT FAIR I ALREADY LOOKED THERE A MILLION TIMES!!1!"

"Life's not fair."

"I'm gonna go get it!" Jess yelled, and she quickly dashed off.

"Wait Jess school isn't over yet-"

But she was already gone.
