A/N Behind The Scenes! (Sort of)

Hello guys, gals and non-binary pals!

I've always wanted to give you guys some insight on what's going on behind the scenes of my Minecraft Story Mode books (She says even though she only has two stories so far). Today I'm going to share some notes, thoughts and tips with you. Don't expect it to be good tips, because you shouldn't ever be taking advice from me. But if you want to use them, feel free to. (Although I'm certain they're not going to be helpful at all)

When I first started writing this book, I had no clue what I wanted to do with the story. All I knew is that I wanted to have some of my favorite ships in it, that's all. But now that I'm writing my second book, I have so many good ideas. Like, way to many. It's actually kind of becoming a problem. Now, you're probably wondering: "How is having a ton on ideas a problem?" Well, I have so many ideas for the story that I don't really know how to write them down. And my mind has this tendency to only come up with ideas that I don't need now but that I'll need later. Heck, I've even come up with an concept storyline for my third book. Which I'm going to keep a secret for now.

Tip: Write 👏🏼 your 👏🏼 ideas 👏🏼 down. 👏🏼 All ideas are good ideas, so write them down even if they might be bad. If you're anything like me your mind is always filled with useless crap, and the fact that I'm very forgetful doesn't help with that either. Whenever I have an idea for a chapter, storyline, dialogue, etc, I almost always write it down in my notebook. Speaking from personal experience, it really helps!

Do you remember that authors note I did with the character information? Yeah, I deleted that one. But do not worry, because I saved the information and decided to change things up a bit. I wasn't really satisfied with some of the things I wrote there, and it also annoys me when I need to write an authors note in between chapters. I only do that when it's really important or when I'm lazy. But I felt like that it'd be better to have the character information here. So here you go, have this useless info about the main characters from my MCSM book series.

• Jessica
One of the main characters of my Minecraft Story Mode book series. She's known as "Jess" to her friends and family. After an incident at her old high school, Jessica switches schools and becomes a junior at Emerald High, the same school as her big brother Jesse. As stated by her friends, Jess' personality is cheerful, positive, and honest. She has a strong distaste for bullies, however, she does believe in forgiveness and redemption.

• Jesse
Jessica's older brother. Jesse is funny, sweet, and laid-back. Although he's uncool at school, he's comfortable with being unpopular and happy to kick back and play video games with his best (and only) friend Lukas. He hopes to keep his head down enough to survive high school and maybe get the girl of his dreams, Petra, to notice him.

• Lukas
The secretary of the Student Council and a member of the gaming club. Known for his charisma and leadership skills, although he rarely uses his natural-born gifts for any meaningful purpose, and usually just spends his time hanging out with his best friend Jesse. Lukas is chill and easygoing, yet compassionate and loyal. He often helps Jesse with his wish to confess to Petra and is a shoulder for him to lean on.

• Olivia
As a shy bookworm, Olivia usually avoids most social situations. She can often be found in the library either reading or studying. Despite that, she's kind, sensitive, and smart. Olivia's strongest passion is undeniably engineering, for her engineering skills are far beyond her age. Putting her doubts aside, she eventually decides to join the redstone club. The club leader immediately saw potential in her and offered her the role of vice president. From that day forward, Olivia has been a lot more confident with herself.

• Petra
Petra is quite popular at Emerald High, known for her sassy attitude and her incredible skill at fencing. She is considered to be one of the strongest student at school, one of the reasons being that she is president of the fencing club. Her personality is determined, confident and competitive. She enjoys taking risks and is willing to live life on the edge. Petra is known to express a strong distaste for delinquents and bullies, and is quick to assist if any of her friends are being harassed.

• Cassidy Rose
Cassidy, known as "Cassie" to her friends and fellow classmates, is known throughout the school for her kind and caring nature. She can't resist helping others in need, and is always trying to make everyone around her feel as comfortable as possible. Cassie is the president of the Student Council, which she's very devoted to and takes it very seriously. She's noted by her classmates to be smart, confident and athletic. She always has a calm, gentle expression and is portrayed as mature and hard-working. (Aka she's not a psychopathic murderer in this story)

• Axel
A junior at Emerald High with a passion for all the wrong things. He's funny, laid-back, carefree, and often takes actions without considering the consequences. Axel is one of those people who don't really care about their grades and are just waiting for high school to be over. He seems to enjoy dangerous things, describing himself as "an agent of chaos." However, a few people have observed that he is noticeably awkward around one particular student..

• Aiden
Aiden enjoys nothing more than annoying his fellow classmates, most specifically Lukas and Jesse. He's known to be sarcastic, crass, and to have a very know-it-all attitude. Despite his rude personality, he surprisingly made his way to become treasurer of the Student Council. He can be mean at times, using mockery as a cover for the way he actually feels. There are rumors that the reason why Aiden does this is because he developed powerful romantic feelings for the president of the Student Council. Aiden always changes the subject when he's asked about it, neither confirming nor denying the rumors.

• Maya
Maya is the local gossip at Emerald High. She always has the dirt and is more than happy to tell anyone and everyone about it. Maya has a very strong charisma and isn't afraid to openly express her feelings. She can sometimes come off as rude, but in actuality she's cool, sassy and very perceptive, especially when it concerns anything gossip worthy. Putting the gossip aside, Maya has a strong passion for theatre and can often be found in the auditorium practicing lines with her fellow drama club members.

• Gill
Not quite the brightest person at school, but still decently popular. Gill is easily amused, bad-mannered, untidy, and a bit lazy, but means well. He spends a lot of time hanging out with Aiden; both are very bold and carefree, and have fun disobeying the rules. Gill's not the smartest of the bunch, seeing he goes along with everything without question and often has dumb remarks about things. Nevertheless, he's a good person at heart and his friends value him for the person he is.

Barely anything changes, but I still felt like putting it here. The next thing on my list (I made a list of what I wanted to talk about lol) is why I call my Minecraft Story Mode books "My book series". This may confuse you, but I'm going to explain it to you. You see, even before I started writing this book I knew that I wanted it to stand out. A lot of MCSM high school stories are very cliche, and some are basically the same. I'm not saying that mine is a 100% original, but I'm really trying to make mine different from the others. The reason I call it "My book series" is because I personally think my MCSM books are very different from others (or at least from the ones I've read).

Fun fact: All my MCSM books have/will have a musical reference in the title.
