16. Valentines Dance 2/3

A/N

I'm going to have more fun with this than I probably should. If you're in some of the same fandoms as me, you'll understand why.

Just so it's clear:

Jess and Lukas are going to the dance as Eliza and Alexander (from Hamilton), I changed the name of the musical though because past-me thought it was a great idea to name one of their teachers Mr. Hamilton.

Cassie and Aiden are going as Star and Marco (from Star vs the Forces of Evil)

Olivia and Axel are going as Connie and Steven (from Steven Universe)

And Petra and Jesse are going as Veronica and JD (from Heathers)

You don't need to know the fandoms to understand this chapter, so enjoy!

It was Friday, the day of The Valentines Dance. The group decided that the girls were meeting up at Jess' house, and the boys at Lukas' house. After they all finished putting on their costumes, the boys would pick the girls up.

"What's taking so long?" Petra asked impatiently. She fidgeted with her gray-checkered skirt, wondering how much longer it was going to take.

"I'm almost done." Jess answered as she brushed Petra's hair gently. She was softly humming a song to herself to kill time.

Olivia just finished tying her hair into a small yet cute ponytail. "I can't wait to see what the guys look like!" she giggled.

"Me neither!" Cassie chuckled as she adjusted the red hairband with little devil horns on her head.

The couples were all going to the dance dressed up together. Jess and Lukas were going as two characters from a American musical called "Miranda", but only because Jess insisted and Lukas just couldn't say no to that.

Olivia and Axel were going as two characters from a series called "Steven Universe", which was their favorite tv show. They always watched it together when they were hanging out.

Petra and Jesse were going as characters from a musical called "Heathers". While she hated to admit it, Petra actually really liked musicals. Since Jesse was her date to the dance, he didn't really mind what he was wearing. As long as he was with Petra, he was okay with anything.

Cassie and Aiden were going as characters from a series called "Star vs the Forces of Evil". Cassie actually did a cosplay as Star one time at a convention, so she already had the costume. All Aiden had to wear was a red hoodie and some black pants, so he was cool with it.

"Alright, I'm done!" Jess exclaimed. She reached for the side table and handed Petra a mirror.

"Nice job." Petra complimented as she admired her reflection. All Jess did was curl her hair a little, but Petra liked it.

"Now that that's finished, I'm going to put on my dress. I'll be right back!" Jess said, and she went upstairs to her bedroom.

Olivia put on her pale brown jacket, which had fur inside and a patch on the left sleeve. She was glad that her costume was nice and simple, yet somewhat stylish.

Cassie stood up and dusted off her dress. Her costume consisted of a sea green short sleeved dress with a white collar, white lace on the sleeves and skirt, and a cute pink octopus on the front. She also had pink and orange leggings, dark magenta boots with a rhino design, and a little yellow star-shaped side bag with a face.

Petra's outfit consisted of a royal blue leather jacket with a white shirt under it, a gray-checkered skirt, royal blue socks with white stripes, and black heels. It wasn't as comfortable as her usual attire, but because today was a special occasion, Petra led it slide. But only this once.

"So, are you guys excited?" Cassie asked.

"Yes! But I'm also a little nervous." Olivia mumbled. "But I'm sure everything going to be just fine!"

"I'm back!" Jess said as she walked down the stairs. She was wearing a beautiful light blue dress with long sleeves.

"Woah, you look amazing!" Cassie complimented her. "And I bet Lukas will think that too."

Jess blushed at the remark. "I hope so."

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"I'll get it!" Olivia insisted, and she sprinted to the door. When she opened it she started attacking the guys, not literally but you know. "Oh my gosh guys you look amazing!"

Axel blushed as he admired Olivia's costume. He claimed she looked good in everything, but still. She did look pretty awesome.

"Come in! We were just getting finished."

The guys stepped inside to see a room filled with incredibly beautiful girls. They all admired their dates, but Jess had by far the most breathtaking costume in the room.

"Wow.." Lukas began, at a loss for words. "You look.. amazing."

"Thanks!" Jess giggled. "You do to."

"Alright! Who's ready for a party?" Petra exclaimed. Everyone cheered, and they left the house, ready to dance.

It was going to be one heck of a night, to say the least.
