Draco
I shook the nerves as I raised my fist to the door to Hermione's house. Come on, Draco! Pull it together!
I knocked twice and took a step back, almost falling off the doorstep.
Dear Merlin help me.
The door opened to reveal a woman with dark brown hair, but eyes that I would recognize anywhere, they practically screamed Hermione.
She sighed as she opened the door, "Hermione, I told you-"
Her eyes widened and her words halted as she saw me, "Oh! I'm so sorry, can I help you?"
I pressed a smile to my face, hoping it didn't waver. Who knew this was going to be so hard?
"Hi, Mrs. Granger, it's a pleasure meeting you, I'm Draco. Draco Malfoy."
She gasps, taking my hand between hers and squeezing, "Oh, my, it is good to finally meet you Draco. I've heard so much about you, do come in, please."
Mrs. Granger held the door open and let me in before scurrying through the house while shrieking, "Sweetheart, that boy Hermione's been talking about, Draco, he's here!"
I smiled in slight celebration, She talks about me.
Mrs. Granger finally stopped inside a small living room, where Mr. Granger was lounging in a chair reading the what must be the muggle newspaper since the pictures weren't moving.
Mr. Granger folded the paper and set it down before raising to his feet, all while looking at me skeptically. It had Hermione written all over it.
"Pleasure to meet you, sir," I said, holding out my hand to him.
He broke into a smile and I mentally thanked Merlin, "Ah pleasure to meet you as well, my boy. So, did Hermione convince you to come over here? Where is she anyways?"
I froze, "Sir?"
"Hermione," he repeated, looking unconcerned, "Where is she? She went to go find you and to get you to come back here with her. Something about taking care of you or something."
I could feel my skin pale as uneasiness settled in.
"Oh, don't worry dear, she's probably just gone to the weasleys to tell Ginny, you know how those girls are," Mrs. Granger waved her husband off and walked into the kitchen.
Mr. Granger settled back down into his chair, already reaching for his newspaper. He gestured for me to sit and I sank down numbly onto the sofa.
"Sorry, but are you saying that Hermione went to my house to get me?" I asked, wringing my hands, the nerves beginning to return to me.
"Yes, she did. You didn't see her?" Mr. Granger looked at me curiously.
I stood immediately, my brain screaming at me that my father had already started hurting her, "I need to leave."
"Wait, But Hermione is-" Mrs. Granger started, walking back into the living room with a pot of tea and four tea cups.
"Is at my house and I will go get her and bring her back here," I was practically shaking, anxious to get out of her, worried about what father might be doing to her.
"Oh, well, alright then. Before you go would you like some tea?" Mrs. Granger smiled, oblivious to the severity of the situation.
"Thank you, Mrs. Granger, but perhaps when we get back," I tried to keep my voice still as not to worry them.
