Chapter Two
Louis’ Perspective
As soon as Niall jumps on me, my stomach lurches and for a second I feel like I’m going to throw up before the nauseous goes away as quickly as it come, making me able to exclaim
“Ow Niall! Get off me!” I pull a face as Niall jumps off me immediately and I pull my hand out of my mum’s instead placing it on my stomach which aches painfully for a few seconds before it stops, just as Harry asks if I’m alright. I close my eyes, wondering what the hell is wrong with me. This is not normal. But Harry, Mum and the boys are worried about me, I can feel all of their concerned gazes on me. I force myself to hide my confusion and worry as I reopen my eyes to meet Harry’s.
“I’m okay.” I say slowly, only just hiding the uncertainty in my voice. Harry and I stare at each other for a little bit and my stomach flips but this time it’s not because I feel sick, but because of the way Harry is staring into my eyes, and I’m staring back into his beautiful green eyes but I know if I continue to I’ll lose myself completely, so I glance away just as Liam says something about going to get a nurse. I let go of my stomach but only for it to twist painfully again. I replace my hand on my stomach again, hiding my pain for Harry, Mum and the boys’ sakes. Luckily, it settles down as I place my hand on it, rubbing it gently. The boys are soon shooed out of the room, Harry kissing me quickly and Mum touching my cheek soon after before they all disappear from the room, closing the door behind them.
I sigh, looking up to the blond nurse as she smiles at me, grabbing a clipboard from the end of my bed.
“So, Mr. Tomlinson, how are you feeling? How did you feel when you first woke up?” The nurse asks and I glance away from her, knowing I should tell the truth but I’ve always had trouble telling people when I’m sick or need help so I’ve always hated the doctors, but I know if I don’t and I get sick again, Mum and the boys will be furious. “Whatever you tell me is strictly between us and the doctor. No one else has to know.” The nurse says, like she was hearing my thoughts as she smiles at me. I take a deep breath before saying
“I’ve been sick for the past week. I’ve just been hiding it from the boys. I-I’ve been throwing up a lot and I’m always so tired. And I’ve been having headaches like every day. And I’ve been panicked heaps, like we were at a signing before I passed out and I just couldn’t settle down. My heart was racing. And when I woke up, I felt tired. I still am which makes no sense seeing as I’ve been sleeping so much lately. And when Niall hugged me I thought I was going to throw up but then it passed but my stomach was hurting but only for a few seconds. Then it hurt again but it stopped after I touched it. It’s really weird and… I have no idea what’s wrong with me.” The nurse nods as she writes something down on the clipboard.
“Have you experienced anything else unusual?” She asks and I shake my head slowly.
“Not really.” I reply and she nods, placing the clipboard back on my bed.
“Okay, Mr. Tomlinson. We’re going to need to run some tests but I have to have a doctor look at you first. He’ll only be here for a few minutes and just tell him what you told me then I can run the tests and then you can go home.” She says, smiling at me. I smile back tiredly, not wanting to stay here and piss in a cup or something but knowing I have to. “I’ll just go and find a doctor. I’ll be back soon.”
“Thank you.” I say and she smiles before walking out. Before she closes the door, I see Harry jump in front of the door but the nurse blocks him, closing the door and I hear it lock. I sigh, letting my head fall back onto the pillow, closing my eyes, grateful that I’ve finally been left alone, even if it will only be for a few minutes. After a few moments, I reopen my eyes and look around for my phone and clothes. I spot them folded on a chair a few feet away. Liam probably folded them for me.
