Louis’ Perspective

“You’re pregnant.” He repeats and I nod slowly, biting down on my lip, ignoring the pain and the taste of blood that fills my mouth. “You’re pregnant with… mine?” He asks and I nod again, wrapping my arms around myself and shivering. “Are you… are you keeping it?” I nod again, not trusting my voice any more as Harry steps away from me, his eyes continuing to dart from my stomach to my face, different emotions swirling in his eyes; anxiety, anger, frustration, fear. I don’t know what he’s going to do and any thoughts about him staying with me have left as soon as he stepped back. “Louis, so help me, if this a joke I’ll…” He growls, his eyes lingering on my face.

“W-what? Y-you think this is a-a joke? W-why would I joke about this, H-harry?” I stutter and he finally seems to realise that I’m upset and confused but there’s no caring and worry in his eyes like there was only moments ago, there’s no love at all, all there is, is fear and anger. “H-Harry, I’m-” I start but he cuts me off

“I-I can’t deal with this. I-I need to get out of here…” He mutters before turning and walking away, leaving me standing in the empty hall crying, my arms wrapped around myself, praying that everything would just go away.

Liam’s Perspective

Zayn’s expression remains impassive, making me even more furious, but I just clench my fists at my side and breathe deeply through my nose, attempting to calm myself. How does this one boy can get me so worked up without even trying?

“I told you, Louis doesn’t want me to tell you and I’m not going to betray him.” Zayn says, his voice emotionless and I sigh, running my hands through my hair and turning around to hide my angry expression from Niall and Zayn.

“Then tell Louis to tell us!” Niall yells, gripping his blond hair tightly, looking angry.

“I’m not going to force him to do anything he doesn’t want to.” Zayn says and I turn back around to face the boy who’s still looking at us with no emotion on his face.

“Well can you at least ask him to tell us?” Niall sighs, looking defeated as he slumps onto one of the couches and rubs his face tiredly. “We’re worried about him, Zayn; this isn’t like him at all. He’s meant to be the happy one out of all of us. We need him to be happy.” Niall mumbles and I stare at Zayn pleadingly. He looks at me and his eyes soften a little bit as I silently plead for him to get Lou to tell us. He opens his mouth and I actually think he was going to tell me what was happening but before he can get a word out, the door to the dressing room opens and Louis enters the room, looking exhausted and upset.

“Oh my god, Lou. Are you okay? Where’s Harry? Come and sit down mate.” Zayn says, springing to his feet and Louis sits down beside where Zayn was sitting, staring forward tiredly.

“Have you told them?” Louis’ voice is more dull than I’ve ever heard it and I see Niall flinch out of the corner of my eye. Zayn shakes his head, sitting down next to the oldest boy.

“We want to know though.” I say quietly, almost too scared to persist now I’ve seen the state Louis’ in. “But you don’t have to tell us now it’s just that-”

“I’m pregnant.” He cuts me off and my jaw hangs open as I stare at Louis, who closes his eyes and takes a deep breath then exhales slowly while Zayn pulls the boy into his arms as I try to get my head around this.

“Have you told Harry?” Niall asks softly and I glance over to my blonde friend before looking at Lou, whose fist clench at his sides.

“Yep, just then. And he said he couldn’t deal with this then ran.” Louis says his voice forcibly even and my stomach ties itself in knots as a feeling of anger towards Louis’ curly-haired boyfriend. How could he run? How could he do this to Lou?

“Lou, it was probably just shock or something. He’ll come around.” Zayn says and I can immediately see that he’s struggling with his anger too. An exhausted sigh comes from Louis before his eyes open, refusing to meet mine or Niall’s eyes as he stares down at the ground. There’s an odd silence between us for a few moments until Niall breaks it, a grin slipping onto his face.

“Dibs god father and favourite uncle!” He exclaims causing Louis to laugh a bit as I whip around to face the blonde.

“No way! I’m the one who has all Disney movies and toy story movies!” I exclaim.

“The kid might not like Toy Story.” Zayn interrupts, glaring at Niall and me.

“No one cannot like Toy Story.” I state, crossing my arms across my chest and Niall raises his eyebrows.

“I don’t like Toy Story that much.” Niall says and we all choose to ignore the laugh that comes from Louis as we continue to argue over who gets godfather and favourite uncle.

“Boys! Come on, seriously? You can’t argue over who gets to be favourite uncle and… who says Stan’s not getting the godfather title?” Louis smirks as we all whip around to stare at him incredulously, causing Louis to laugh and shake his head as we all erupt in sounds of protest, arguing about how we’re better than Louis’ friend from high school. Louis pushes himself to his feet, rolling his eyes as Paul enters the room, looking at us all curiously as we all shut up, not wanting Paul to hear anything about Louis’ kid in case he tells management.

“What’s going on?” Paul asks slowly and we all grin at him innocently, except for Louis who just rolls his eyes at us.

“Nothing Paul.” We all say in unison and he looks a little cautious before asking

“Where’s Harry?” The atmosphere in the room instantly turns from light to tense and we all glance at Louis, whose face is now emotionless as he shrugs.

“I don’t know. I think he left a while ago.” Louis replies, his voice not giving away any emotion. Paul frowns before glancing between all of us, where Zayn’s jaw is clenched tightly and Niall’s eyes are lowered to the ground, his face showing how uncertain he feels towards Harry and I probably look slightly pissed off but calm.

“Did you lot have a fight or…” Paul trails off, looking surprised and Zayn snaps

“Leave it Paul. The idiot will turn up eventually. He had his phone on him so he’ll call a cab when he wants to get home. Just leave him for a bit.” Louis flinches and Paul looks between the four of us worriedly but doesn’t comment.

“We need to get to the car.” Paul says slowly and we all nod before following him out of the room silently. I wrap my arm around Louis’ shoulders and he smiles a fake smile at me, resting his forehead on my shoulder for a moment, sighing heavily.

“Hey, it’ll be okay. We’ll sort everything out when we get home, alright.” I murmur reassuringly and Louis sighs again before we both head outside, hoping there aren’t too many fans outside.
