Chapter 2 – The White Dragon

The sun that illuminated from the outside woke me up. The sun was blinding and I found it quite a struggle to open my eyes. Once my vision had cleared from the blurriness of waking up, I saw two unfamiliar faces who were staring at me disturbingly other than the white-haired guy from last night.

I sat up but they still stared at me. "Umm..." I searched for the right words to say. What was I supposed to say to them?

I noticed that everyone had distinct hair colour—one was a girl with fiery red hair, a young boy who had short blonde hair...and the beautiful white-haired guy. Now that he was awake, his beauty strengthened.

Their eyes were wide opened like they were shocked of my existence. I could hear many thoughts from them as well as I could read their minds.

"W—What are you doing here...in my futon?" the white-haired guy asked.

"You're so beautiful..." I explained. "I'm drawn by your beauty," I noticed a faint red colour on his pale skin. The colour stood out since his skin almost looked like it was transparent.

"She has a way with words..." the young boy who had short blonde hair observed. "But I don't think that she spoke of it consciously,"

"What do you mean, Yun?" the red-haired girl asked the young boy.

"She looks like she's clueless," the young boy who was named Yun, answered.

"I think she's suspicious!" the white-haired guy exclaimed. "When I woke up, she was hugging me! If that isn't suspicious enough then I don't know what else is!"

"Relax, Kija," the red-haired girl chuckled. So, the name of the beautiful creature was Kija? She turned her attention to me. "What are you doing here?"

"I don't know..." I answered honestly.

"You don't really know?!" Kija asked and I shook my head in response. "Don't you know it's unethical for a girl to be on a same bed as a guy when they're not even married?!"

"I don't know..." I repeated.

"She's really clueless," Yun sighed. "It's just a hunch but I think that she has amnesia, Yona,"

"Amnesia?" the red-haired girl who was named Yona tilted her head to the side. "As in she forgot her memories?"

"Yes," Yun nodded. "Do you know what your name is?" he asked me and I shook my head. "I guess I'm right,"

"How did you manage to get past through the guards of the castle?" Kija asked me. I didn't know why they kept on asking me questions. Did I look like someone to be afraid of?

"I woke up in the shrine," I answered.

"You woke up there?" Yona cleared. "B—But that's impossible! Nobody could have thrown you inside it without passing by the guards,"

"I don't know how to say this..." Kija looked like he was thinking of something deeply. "...but I can sense something from her, something that I couldn't quite put a finger on,"

"Oh—looks like she's awake," a new voice joined the conversation. I looked at the owner of the voice and saw that it came from a green-haired guy who had a beautiful girl on his right. On his left side was a guy who had a mask on who also had a beautiful girl beside him. "Wait..." the green-haired guy eyed me. "I can sense something from her," the masked guy who was beside him nodded too.

"You can sense something from her too?" Kija's eyes were widened.

Now that I noticed it, everyone that I had met so far were beautiful—but nothing could surpass Kija's beauty in my eyes.

Yun briefed them on how I had amnesia and told them that I woke up in the shrine. The girl who was beside the masked guy approached me. "I'm Roo-na, the official priestess of this castle and that guy..." she pointed at the masked guy. "...is my lover, Shin-ah. The green-haired guy beside him is Jae-ha and the girl beside him is his lover, Avi. You woke up in the shrine with no traces of memories, right?" she asked and I nodded.

"You know what's going on, Roo-na?" Yona asked.

Roo-na shook her head. "There are no prophecies and voices from God regarding her arrival,"

"So...what do we do?" Avi asked.

"We'll let her stay here for the meantime," Yona decided.

"I guess the best thing to do now is to wait for Zeno and Lyra's arrival," Jae-ha added. "Since those two love birds are too old to mention, I'm guessing that they know of things that we—mortals—can't explain,"

"Mortals?" I repeated in confusion.

"Zeno is immortal and his lover—Lyra—is the sun goddess," Kija explained. "Since she's a goddess, she's also ageless,"

"That's...odd," I commented.

"You don't really know anything, do you?" Yun sighed. "Starting tomorrow, each of us will teach you everything that we know starting from cleaning the castle up to fighting some opponents,"

"Do you think that's a good idea, Yun?" Roo-na asked. I noticed that Roo-na's lover—Shin-ah—didn't talk that much. I also didn't have an idea of what expression he had on his face since he was wearing a mask.

Even without looking at his expression, I knew that Shin-ah believed my story without a doubt. In a matter of fact, I read their minds stating that they all believed me...including Kija.

"I honestly think that's a good idea," Yona smiled. After a second she turned her attention to me. "Since you're going to be part of a group, I would be honored to give you a name,"

"A name?" I wondered.

That sounded exciting.

"From now on..." Yona's smile grew wider. "...you're going to be called 'Zara'."
