Chapter 5 – The White Dragon
"Zara!" Yun's voice called from the other side of the door. I opened the door and saw Yun who had a nervous expression on his face.
"Yes?" I asked.
"You were called to the throne room," he informed. "Follow me,"
I followed Yun who kept glancing at me like he was worried of something.
S—She's scary, Yun thought.
"Why?" I asked him curiously.
Yun didn't answer me but I paid it no mind. He opened the huge door that led to the throne room. Once we stepped inside, I noticed that everyone was there and everybody's eyes were on me.
"Zara," Yona smiled at me. "We just want to ask a question so don't be nervous of why you were called here, alright?"
"I'm not nervous," I pointed out.
"Let's get straight to the point since everyone here is eager to know the truth," Kija looked at me straight into the eyes. "Zara, can you read our minds?"
That was all that they were going to ask?
I thought that they were going to ask a question that was difficult to answer—but I guessed not.
I didn't hesitate to give them nod.
"What?!" all of them chorused.
"Why?" I asked. "What's the big deal about it?"
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?!" Yun yelled at me.
"Why would I tell you?" I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "You can do it too, right?"
"Kami-sama..." Roo-na shook her head in dismay. "She is really oblivious of her surroundings,"
"Not everybody can do that, Zara..." Yona dropped a sweat.
"You can't do it?" my eyes widened. I thought that hearing their thoughts was normal. I now knew the reason why they kept eyeing me suspiciously.
Everything now made sense.
"You're the only person that I know who can read minds," Hak chimed in.
"Powers are not that uncommon here in the castle," Jae-ha explained. "But you're human...and humans don't have powers," Avi coughed from beside him. "Sorry, love. Don't worry, you're human too,"
"Well..." Avi started. "If you have your mindreading power, I guess that makes the both of us super humans, right?"
I read Avi's mind and saw that she also had a power of her own. She considered it as a curse. Weighing both of our powers, her power was far more deadly than mine.
"We don't want you reading our minds so I'll just tell the truth to you," Yun sighed. "Remember the story that I told you about the dragons?" I nodded. "In this generation, the White Dragon is Kija, the Blue Dragon is Shin-ah, the Green Dragon is Jae-ha, and the Yellow Dragon is Zeno,"
Kija had an arm that was ten times stronger than a human arm.
Shin-ah had eyes that could see beyond anything.
Jae-ha had a leg that could make him jump super high that it almost looked like he was flying.
Zeno was immortal.
I guessed that even though I was the only one who could read minds, there was nothing unusual about it at all.
But if all of them were gathered here, it meant that the Red Dragon was here as well. I looked at the girl with the red hair.
It seemed like Yona was the Red Dragon.
There was no doubt about it.
"Speaking of Zeno, him and Lyra will be back here to rest soon enough," Yona said. "Once they're back, we would probably know the reason why the remaining three dragons could sense something from you."

"Zara!" Kija called my given name as I was walking my way back to my room.
I turned around to look at him. "What is it?"
"What I told you last night...please don't tell anyone about it,"
"Why?"
He sighed. "Why do you keep asking why?"
"Because even though I can read minds, I'm still clueless about everything,"
"You have a point there," he nodded. "But please...don't tell anyone, okay?"
"Don't tell them that you're lonely...?" I guessed. I didn't want to keep reading their minds if it was that unusual. It was a good thing that I could just read their minds if I wanted to.
"Yes," he breathed out.
"Why?"
He was about to say something else but I sensed that he gave up on his reasoning when he said. "...Because it's true, Zara. I'm lonely."
