I walked toward into the night with Toby by my side. The sound of crunching leaves were all that could be heard between us.

"Was it right to leave her unconscious in my room?" I turn to ask her.

"Yeah she'll be fine." She tugs on Ike's leash. I look down at Ike to see him staring at me. I return my eyes back to road ahead of us and gulp. We were headed towards the old, 'haunted' forest when I thought I could hear something behind us. I quickly look over my shoulder to see a creature with six legs run away at the sight of me looking at it. I stop to try to figure out what just happened when Ike bites my leg softly. I look down and see that he is tugging at my pant leg telling me to move quickly away from the scene. "Move faster you lazy butts!" I hear Toby shout at us.

"R-....Right!" I quickly dash up back up to Toby. What just happened? What was that....t-t-that Thing?! I think to myself.

"We're here." I look up to find a great forest ahead of us. The sun has already gone down. How have I not noticed this? "Turn on the flashlight. We'll need it." I reach into my backpack and pull out the flashlight. I hit the switch and the light flickers on. We start on a trail that we think will hopefully lead us to where the map wants us to go. About half way up the trail, the flashlight goes out. I hit the flashlight a couple of times and groan at the lack of response. I hear that Toby takes a sharp breath in.

"What? What's wrong? Are you scared of the dark?" I try not to sound like an ass while asking the question.

"No. I'm not scared of the dark...I'm scared of what I can't see inside it." Toby's voice sounds shaky. A memory then hits me. When Toby was about six, she wondered into this forest and got lost. When she came out it was about two or three years later. She had said that she survived thanks to the black creature that lead her to the forest. Lily then had Toby take a sanity test. I'm positive that she forged it. Toby took pills almost everyday after that test. She hasn't exactly been the same afterwards.I look up from my train of thought and realized that we are in the middle of the forest. "Well. We're here."
