'Leave now!' was carved into the dead tree in front of us. The tree was in its own little spot in the world. Or at least that's what it seemed.
"Well, this is the place." Toby stuffs the map into her front jacket pocket. We look around the tree for any kind of signs life. Nothing. I look behind us and realize that our path is gone.
"Uhh Toby?"
"Yeah?" She kept looking at the tree watching how it didn't even move in the slight wind that was around us.
"Where's the path?" She turns around and looks around confused.
"Wasn't it right behind us?" I nod. "Huh. ummm. Try looking around for it. It has to be around here somewhere." I nod in agreement and start to look around for the path. I poke my head through some trees. I see a tall dark creature leaning against a tree. It looks up at me with green eyes. It was holding its side as three claw marks seemed to rip its side. The wounds themselves were green; the bloods slowly dripping out was a glowing green color that looked to be poisonous. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the creature. I walked towards it not knowing what I should do to help it, but I knew that I wanted to help it.
"H-hi." I stuttered. The creature smiled the best it could.
"Hello Sarah." I took a step back.
"How..."
"Do I know your name?" It ended my question as if it knew that I was going to ask it. "Simple. We've met before...kinda." I started walking towards it. I looked around the area trying to find anything that I could use to patch up the wounds of the creature. "Don't worry about me." I looked at the creature's wounds. SInce my mom's a nurse I knew how to fix wounds. I shook my head at the creature's remark. It looked surprised. "What?"
"I'm not going to let you just bleed out here." I went to touch the wounds to see how deep it was when the wounds starting becoming smaller and smaller as if they were healing at a rapid rate. I stared at the newly formed scars when I could hear Ike howling in the distance. I looked over at where I thought Ike was."Ike?" The creature placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Don't go towards that creature. That path will only lead to pain and suffering. Come with me and I can bring you to a world and life of peace. Join the false moonchild and it will lead to war and heartbreak. Join me healer!" It reached its hand as if offering me on an adventure to the greatest life that I would ever know. I could hear Toby calling out in the distance and Ike howling.
"Heartbreak?" I ask shyly. The creature nods.
"Heartbreak." I sigh then grab its hand.
"Sarah!" I hear Toby shout but what she says after that is fades and it's gone as I am taken away to what I hope another world.
