Maybe our old wounds teach us something. They remind us where we've been and what we've overcome. They teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future. That's what we like to think. But that's not always the way it is. Sometimes there are things we just have to learn over again.
And there will always be that scar, imprinted on you forever; an ugly reminder of the darkness you dragged yourself out of.
Sometimes there are things in our life that aren't meant to stay. Sometimes change may not be what we want. Sometimes change is what we really need. And sometimes saying goodbye is the hardest thing you think you'll ever have to do. Sometimes change is too much to bear, but most of the time change is the only thing saving your life.
Maybe that's why I fell so hard and landed on my back, looking up but not having the will to get back to my feet. Because change seems so horrid when all reality, it saves you from the fall.
