A/N: This chapter is written before the previous chapter. Oli is just starting to test out how being a guy will feel and he wanted to find a way to get his appearance to match.

Shopping

Ollie had made the decision to go shopping today. Which seemed like a good idea at the time, but now that he is here, he wished that someone else was here with him. It's fine, its just a clothing store. No one here knows who you are, and no one cares what side you go to first. This does not change the fact that he walks over to the girls' section first, pretending that any of the skimpy crop tops hold any interest to him. He keeps glancing over to the other side of the store, wondering if the bored looking cashier will notice if he walks over there. There is a good chance that she will not care one bit, but that does not make the idea of walking over there any less daunting. He came to the mall to find a beanie to hide his hair in, and so far there has been no luck. To anyone looking they would assume that he was just an ordinary girl looking around a store, and not a guy having an internal battle with himself on if he should walk over to the other side of the store or just leave. He turns up his music just a bit more, trying to hide behind the sound blaring in his ears and gain any sense of courage he can. He takes a deep breath and while trying to look as nonchalant as he can, Ollie wanders over to the guys side of the store. Oh god, what if someone else sees, or I run into someone I know, or another guy comes over here. I don't know if I can do this, but I'm already here and now I should just look around quickly and then leave. Glancing over to the employees of the store once more, Ollie starts to move closer to a sweater that caught his eye. This is nice, I like the colour and its really soft. There is no way I could go and buy it though or even ask to try it on. He takes his hand away, anyways, I'm looking for a hat, not a sweater. With one last look at the sweater, he turns and walks out of the store. After a few more stores with similar experiences in all of them, Ollie finally walks into one that looks promising. After greeting the cashier behind the counter, he walks to the back and lo and behold there is a rack of beanies! After looking through the colours he decides on two different ones and makes his purchase. Oh my god I did it! I can hide my hair and walk around looking like how I want! Ollie leaves the mall and finds a spot to put his bag down. He ties his hair back, puts on the beanie and flips his ponytail up into it. Once fixing his hair so that some sticks out the front, he checks his appearance in his phone. The guy looking back at him looks like him, but more like the way he's thought about looking, but never having the courage to try. Smiling at himself he revels in the way this feels. He feels freer this way, a bit lighter that earlier today. Grabbing his bag, he heads over to the bus stop nearby and waits, thinking about who all the people passing him see, a boy standing on the street, or a girl desperately trying to be one.
