The Missing Puzzle Piece

Its been six days. Six days since Ollie left to go visit their family and they won't be back until tomorrow evening. Not having Ollie with them at the kitchen table for dinner was weird for the other three. That night they all decided to share a bed, which was nice, but they all felt that something was missing. It's not the first time that three of them have shared a bed while one slept in their own, but the fact that Ollie wasn't in a room just down the hall felt wrong. Tyson threw himself into baking and Emma had a paper due in a few days, so she was busy with that. Jack was trying not to feel too upset without having Ollie at home. He started carrying around their cat Pickles and snuggling with him on the couch because his snuggle buddy isn't home. Pickles doesn't mind. He's a pretty snuggly cat.

After a few days, Tyson and Emma started to notice that Jack seemed sullen about Ollie being gone. So they opened up the big bed in the living room, brought out Jacks favourite blanket, and snuggled him up in the middle of them and they decided to have a movie night. Even Pickles decided to join them and was sleeping on the end of the bed. After lots of hugs and kisses Jack was feeling a little bit better and fell asleep on Emma, feeling content and loved.

The next day Emma and Jack decided to make breakfast for all three of them, while insisting that Tyson can relax and leave them to it. Everyone has the day off today, and the three of them decide to go out for a walk and a picnic. Emma brings her camera and ends up getting lots of pictures of the park they have their picnic at. When they get home, Ollie is still not there, but sent them all a text saying they would be home in about two hours. Tyson decides that he wants to make one of Ollie's favourite foods for dinner, and he gets both Emma and Jack to help a bit with that. Soon enough two hours pass, and Ollie arrives at home. They are greeted with the sight of their three partners all in the kitchen together and the smell of pasta sauce being cooked. They are soon enveloped in a group hug with everyone talking at once, asking how the trip was and their family and how they all missed them so much. The overwhelming feeling of home enveloped Ollie as they had their partners all wrapped around them. After the very long hug was done, Ollie was taken to the table to sit and tell them all about their trip. Eventually Ollie ended up with a lap full of Jack who was very happy to see them again and told them that they should never leave for that long again. After Ollie promises that they don't plan on leaving again any time soon Jack asks if he can kiss their cheek, to which Ollie says yes and returns the kiss with one of their own on Jacks forehead after asking. They soon all sit down for dinner, and after cleaning it up they all settle down in their pyjamas for a movie night. Once it got late and everyone was getting tired, they all got ready for bed and the four of them spent the night sleeping in the same bed, which was the most content any of of them had felt for the last week. Their fourth piece of the puzzle was back home and they all couldn't be happier.
