Look Before You Leap

{Riku's POV}

It was a very nice day. I was walking out around the rocks, water about ankle deep. Than,I decided to test my skills. I looked over at my friends Sora and Kairi, making sure that they were OK.With great bravery,bI climbed up onto a large rock. OK, here goes. I took a leap from this rock to another one. This isn't hard! I leaped again, landing on a different rock. Suddenly,my foot slipped and I fell right into the ocean. I could swim, but, with the force that I hit the water, I was completely paralyzed."Is this the end?" I thought to myself. I wanted to cry out for help, but, if I did, I'd drown faster than I was."H-Helpbbgbg.." I muttered. I started to get light headed. Before I knew it, my eyes shut. This is my end.

{Sora's POV}

"Riku!" I yelled and sprinted toward the water as fast as I could run. I took in a deep breath and dived into the abyss that took my friend. I looked around frantically, getting increasingly more worried as I looked. I swam up for air, and immediately dived back down."Rikubbg!" I yelled. I swear, if I find my best friend AND crush dead, I am going to cry.bI wanted him to call my name back. Suddenly, I see his cold,lifeless body, drifting down towards the bottom. His eyes were closed softly, and he looked as if he wasn't breathing. I got to him as fast as I could swim. I put his arm over my shoulders and swam up.

"*Gasp* Kairi!!" I yelled desperately for her help."Oh my god,Riku! Is he OK??" She has tears in her eyes."I'll go get Shelpie to help,too!" She ran and yelled Shelpie's name the whole time.vI layed Riku down onto the sand, and about cried. "Riku. Please be okay." I put two fingers on his wrist to check for a pulse. I didn't feel anything.Oh no. I put my hand on his chest to see if he was breathing or not. Not a sign of life. Tears begging to come out, I freaked out."Oh my god,Riku! Please don't be dead,please don't be dead,oh my god,oh god.." I cried. Shelphie and Kairi returned to me crying."What's wrong?" Shelphie asked, with a look of intense worry on her face."H-He doesn't have a-a pulse a-and he-he's not breathing and I don't k-know what to do!" I sobbed."Do CPR.If someone is in a state like this, you absolutely have to do CPR." She explained. My face flushed red."U-Um? CPR?" I said nervously."Yes.You need to do it or he'll die. Right now, he is currently running out of oxygen at every second. If you wanna know how I know all this, I used to be a lifeguard. Now do CPR! We're running out of time!" Selphie explained. I pushed down onto Riku's chest as Selphie counted to 30 for me. "Now,you do something called 'Rescue Breathing',or,in terms you'd understand,mouth-to-mouth." Selphie explained. I blushed so hard. "Oh geez.." I lowered my lips onto his, and breathed into his lungs.This just turned embarrassing. I heard Kairi giggle."Shut up." I blushed. "He'll be okay, y'know. That's why you're giggling, isn't it?" Selphie whispered to Kairi and they both bursted out in giggles. I blushed harder. Oh my god,they're gonna tease me for years to come. I continued doing CPR, until suddenly, Riku tensed up and started coughing."Riku!!" I wrapped my arms around him, and pulled him into a hug.

{Riku's POV}

What just happened? Sora was practically sobbing while hugging me and Selphie and Kairi let out a sigh of relief."W-" Sora cut me off. "Shh. Don't talk, you just drowned and I don't want you to pass out again.." His face was covered in tears and saltwater. Did I drown? Then, all of it came back to me. Oh, I am such a dummy! "Sora did CPR on you!" Kairi and Selphie giggled loudly."Guuuyyss! C'mon!" He blushes and puts his hands over his face. I was too out of breath to laugh. So, I lifted his face into look at me. Then, I kissed him right in front of Kairi and Selphie. "Aww!" They both yelled."R-Riku..are you okay?" Sora asked lovingly."Yeah, I'm okay." I gasped as I spoke, but, i was able to breathe. Sora kissed me again,and wrapped his arms around my neck softly. "Get a room!" Sora's brothers' friend, Axel, yelled, causing us to blush."I love you, Riku." Sora smiles."I love you too, Sora." I responded.
