My Light In The Darkness

"It's beautiful.." Riku stared up into the sky, lanterns lighting it up. His normal serious frown turned to a smile. "Thanks for bringing me here, Sora." He looked over at me, than turned back to the sky. "You're welcome." I replied softly. Riku's eyes were lit up by the soft light, suddenly, I see a tear fall down his cheek.

"Riku! Are you okay?" I was worried about him. I never really saw him cry. "I-It's just that it's so beautiful..like I have seen something more beautiful. Sora, I wanna confess something. May I tell you?" He tries to pull himself together. "Yes?" I looked at him, I was concerned about why he was crying so hard. "I love y-you..and I always have. It's just- I have never had the courage to tell you. I-I know you probably think I'm childish for crying..but, I love you so much." Riku sobbed. I didn't know what to say.

"Riku...I love you, too. I have loved you since we met. You are my everything. My only light in the darkness. I actually wanted to ask you out a little while ago, but, you beat me to it. So, wanna be my one and only?" I smiled and blushed. Riku smiled and more tears rolled down his face. "Yes." He sobbed. After he said that, I kissed him under the light of the lanterns and the moon."I love you, Sora." Riku smiles and holds my hand. "I love you, too, Riku." I replied. We watched the lanterns fly, hand in hand.
