We stopped by a cotton candy stall because Xander looked fascinated by how the man made the cotton candy.  I smiled in amusement.

"Do you want one?" I asked him.  Xander as if finally realized his behaviour quickly controlled his expression.  He cleared his throat and nodded.

"Is this your first time seeing cotton candy?" Adrian asked while raising both of his eyebrows.  I glared at him and he quickly looked away.

"The purple one please." I requested.  The man smiled broadly then picked the purple cotton candy from the row.  I placed the money in his hand and he handed the candy to me.

"How do you know i would choose purple?" Xander questioned raising one of his eyebrows. I shrugged casually and gave him the candy.

"You let girl paying for your cotton candy. Shame on you." Adrian commented.  I let out a heavy breath and continued walking.

"I'll repay her later." Xander muttered with his usual charming smile before chasing after me.  Adrian seemed upset and began flexing his jaw while following close behind us. His dislikes toward Xander intensified.

Xander pinched a bit his candy and shoved it into his mouth.  His eyes widened in surprised.  Probably didn't expect the candy melted in his mouth.  He nodded eagerly and continued eating.  It was very amusing especially when you knew who he really was.  Not everyday you would see an angel enjoying cotton candy.  Then my smile faded as i realized we were being watched.

"What's wrong?" Xander asked sensing my discomfort.  I bit my bottom lip and my heart started beating faster than usual.

"Don't tell me you don't feel it too?" I whispered to him.  Adrian furrowed his eyebrows together,  didn't like the idea of us whispering in front of him.

"Feel what?" Was he serious?  There was no way i was the only one who felt this.  This discomfort of being watched by unknown creature. My eyes searched for anything suspicious around us. "Watch out!"

In an instant Xander pulled my hand and my body fell into Adrian causing both of us fell on the pavement.  The spot where i was standing cracked and Xander stood protectively in front of us. My eyes caught a dark arrow pierced through the crack before it turned into ashes and vanished.

"What the hell?" Adrian groaned under me. Xander turned toward us and offered me a hand. I took it with a trembling hand. He easily pulled me back to my feet.

"I'm sorry."  Xander tried to helped my brother up but Adrian valued his pride more, slapped Xander's hand away,  getting up on his own.

"What was that just now?!" Adrian snapped after getting on his feet.  I tried to ease my racing heart by breathing slowly.

"There's  a car that almost hit me. Thank you for saving me,  Xander." I said while smiling at Xander.  He returned the gesture but i knew he felt guilty for not taking my warning seriously a while ago.

"What car?" Adrian frantically looked around us and the road happened to be empty.

"It's already gone." I lied.  Damn,  I was getting good at lying now.

"So,  what was that?" I asked him. Xander rubbed his chin then shook his head slowly. He sat up straight on my bed.  After arriving home,  Xander pretended to head over at his house but he actually entered my room because apparently,  angel could teleport in short distance.

"The arrow was shot by at least 2 KM away.  Our surrounding was in the open,  so,  it was quite easy to place an aim."  Xander answered.
