I opened my eyes slowly but i quickly closed them back.  I blinked rapidly and finally i could see things clearly.  I saw a dusty ceiling.  I sat up immediately and saw Xander was sitting beside the bed watching me.  Relief expression washed over him.

"How are you feeling?"  He asked with a smile.  The pain in my head was gone but i felt slightly tired.

"I'm good." I replied while looking around. The place hadn't change except it was dustier than before.  Then i turned toward Xander and punched his arm.  He yelped in surprise.

"What was that for?" He questioned while rubbing his arm.

"That,  for breaking your promise." I told him while crossing my arms across my chest. He raised a brow. "You left me Xander."

"You remember?" He asked with wide eyes.  I jumped off the bed at the other side then started walking around the room and stopped in front of a table.

"Of course i remember,  dummy. That's the reason i come here." I said while rummaging through the drawers. I finally found what I was looking for and stood up straight with an old looking key in my hand.

"Lyn, I'm sorry. I-"

"It's okay, Xander.  It's not like you have any choice.  I never get it before because i was such an immature snob. It was so stupid and selfish of me." I cut him off. I sighed heavily. "I'm just upset you made a promise you couldn't keep."

He looked down on the floor while playing with his fingers didn't dare to look at me. I couldn't help the smile crept into my lips.  I missed him so much.  I walked over to him and hugged the life out of him.

"I miss you." I mumbled out.  He froze with my sudden action but eventually hugged me back.

"I miss you too." He said.  We stayed in the position for a quite a while before we pulled apart. Xander caressed my cheek with his fingers and my heart was pounding madly.

"Uhh..  There's one more thing i have to do." I announced then walked to the door.  I exhaled to ease my heart.  Xander followed me.

We arrived back at the bottom floor.  I made my way toward a closet near the stairs and pulled it opened. There was a trap door on the floor.  I crouched down and put in the key in my hand into the lock.  I twisted the key and it was unlocked.  I grabbed the door handle and tried to pull it opens. Due to my declining energy i couldn't lift the door.

"Need a hand?"  Xander offered.

"Yes please." I nodded and he crouched down beside me grabbing the handle.  Our hands brushed against each other and it sent tingles in me. "Pull!"

We lifted the door and revealed a stair heading toward the basement.  I climbed down first followed by Xander. It was dark but it took me a couple of seconds to adjust with the darkness.  I could see well in the dark so there was no need to turn on the light.  In the basement were shelfs filled with many types of weapons.

I walked toward one of the shelfs and browsed the weapons inside. It was filled with swords and one of them was missing. I pulled out a small compartment from the shelf and revealed a golden ring. I took it and threw it at Xander who skillfully caught it with one hand.

"Keep your ring back.  I guess i don't want it anymore." I said and my words surely hurt him since his face fell.  Well,  i was just being honest.  I took one of the golden swords with its scabbard.  I unsheathed the sword and studying the beautiful sword.  'I guess this will do.'

"Are you sure you're ready?"  Xander asked.  I looked at him.

"Why?  I don't look ready to you?" I shot back.
