I couldn't panic. I needed to calm down. It must be the games of those atrocious creatures. This was just their hallucinations and i wasn't in the new place. I closed my eyes once again and took a deep breath. I walked toward one of the trees and touched it. I could touch it and even felt the surface. I shook my head and went to the next tree to examine it.
'No way. This can't be happening.' I spoke in my mind as my fingers ran through the tree trunk. 'This isn't hallucination.'
"Funny how's this power works, huh?" I was stunned at the voice behind me. It was a girl. Oddly familiar to me but i couldn't remember where i heard the voice before. I slowly turned around.
"W-who are you?" I asked with wide eyes. The girl was confused for a second before smirking in amusement. She wasn't ghost, spirit, demon nor angel. She was human but i highly doubt it. Maybe because of the black tattoo like marks covering half of her face.
"You don't remember me, Lillian?" She asked back. I took a step back because i felt threatened by her closeness. My voice stucked in my throat. "Don't be scare. I won't hurt you."
The corner of my eyes caught something moving. I quickly snapped my head to my left. A silhouette of a dark figure was standing behind a tree. I licked my dried lips nervously and looked back at the girl that was looking at the same direction.
"You're seeing it faster than me." She commented. I took few steps back tried to create some distance from the girl and the demon that was hiding behind the tree.
"So, you found her already." The demon spoke, talking to the girl. It stepped out from its hiding place and started moving forward. I instinctively took few steps back.
"Back off. I was here first." The girl sternly stated. The demon let out a thrilling laughter. Great, now i was trembling in fear.
Without warning the demon moved toward me in high speed but i somehow could keep up with its movement with my eyes but i wasn't fast enough to move away. In a second my neck was in its grip. I gasped for air. My back hit the tree trunk and my body was lifted from the ground.
"Too bad, now she's mine." The demon uttered in dangerously low tone. Tears pouring out from the corner of my eyes as i stared right into its vibrant red eyes.
The demon suddenly let out a screech and its dark talon that gripping my throat was cut off while it moved away from me in pain. I fell onto the ground and coughing furiously. I finally managed to breath properly. The dark talon fell on the ground and that was when i noticed that Xander was standing in front of me with his original form.
"F*ck you!" The demon cursed angrily.
"It'll be your head next if you don't leave now." He threatened. In his right hand was a golden double edge sword that tainted with dark crimson liquid. The blood of the demon.
"You don't scare me, you sh*t!" The demon countered yet i saw some fear in its red eyes. Maybe i was wrong. I couldn't tell.
"Don't say i didn't warn you." Xander's arm twitched and in an instant the demon vanished into thin air. He turned around and faced me while swiftly transforming back to his human form. He kneeled in front of me and eyeing me with concern. "I'm sorry, i didn't come fast enough to prevent that demon from touching you."
"I'm okay, now." I told him while my eyes locked to the spot where the girl once stood but she too was gone. "Say, Xander, do i have a twin sister?"

The rest of the ride home was silent. I spent most of my time looking outside the window. Eyeing the trees, houses and buildings that we passed. My mind travelled back to what happened few hours ago.
