Chapter Sixteen

Location: Mount Justice

Its been 3 weeks.

Nothing but training.

Meditating.

And seeing myself become less humane everyday.

Every afternnon is the evening for a drink of blood or else im positive ill go out of control.

I havent seen Roy since yesterday.

But his visits dont mean much.

It the same thing every visit, he says I love you, we get in bed and by the time its over we run out of time.

It feels so wrong to feel nothing for him, yet he seems to care so much for me.

Things havent been good either, its been becomeing even more tense between me and Grayson as each day and minute goes by.

A few hours of bettering myself in training gets me distracted, its usually aqualad, superboy, and Artemis training with me.

Aqualads been so kind to me, a true friend to the end and its clear in his tone of voice, and it hurts everytime i think about it.

Superboy has had his doubts with me but i guess we could connect more since we both wern't human and were about strong enough to match each other.

Training with him really makes me workout, but then again trainings never been easier with them.

Artemis has also grown on me, a good archer but she lacks confidence at times.

Shes almost like a sister, in such little time we've grown very close but it was only due to the fact we both new Oliver.

As each minute went by i just wanted to leave or do something so i couldn't betray them, and i wished they wouldn't have left me be a part of them so easily, well most of them.

At this point i couldnt imagine what would happen in the future.

Buut what would come next was a diffrent challenge than ever imagined.

Location: Mount Justice, Kitty's room.
Time: 12:00 am.

It was quiet, Ms.M, Superboy, and Aqualad were all sound asleep.
I could hear the faint beats as everyone slept that soothed the dark quiet night.
My ears concentrated on the beats and as i did more and more i relized something was wrong.

I had counted five heart beats twice and with that relization i quickly jumped and woke up.

It couldnt be, it was impossible, not here not now!

I nearly jumped out of bed with a scream but a knock my door brought me back to reality.

"Hello.. umm are you okay or awake??" Said a young mans voice.

I slowly walked to the door and watched as the door slowly opened.

"Yea....im awake" I replied in the most quietest voice yet still sound normal as ever with the place being so quiet.

He looked down at me curiously atomaticly sensing something wrong and as i panicked inside the extra heart beat stoped along with mine.

"Are you sure? You do know i might not have supermans hearing but i can still hear it close by and right now youre not breathing" Superboy explained.

I took a deep breath, relaxed, and took a deep breath leting my beat return.

"I know...just still getting used to all this, its been hard ya know, I've just been feeling homesick and stuff" I explained.
