Whenever we face an adversity, we think it's only us who is being tested. That we are the weakest and most pitiful creature on Earth. That everyone except us, either it's a friend or a foe, is the most blessed individual. We assume that God has something against us and that's why he always puts us in a nasty situation. Very ignorantly, we stay oblivious of the reality. But we are wrong. So wrong. Even if we try to take a close look at anybody's life, we can very easily list a number of problems and crisis they are going through. And just like us, they too, think it's only them who is standing alone, trying to survive the storm of life.
Where in reality, everyone and I repeat, everyone of us is fighting our own battles in our own little worlds, completely unaware of what dilemmas the person beside us might be dealing with.
Since the very start, when we were 9 and worried about our lost colour pencils and the scolding followed by it. Or at 16, heartbroken at the lack of attention we get from our crushes and our one-sided love. At 25, struggling to find a decent job, going through financial issues. And when we are 60, feeling anxious about how our medical reports will come out wondering if they would be free of any disorder. In short, at any age and at every point of our worrisome lives, we have a brand new hurdle to overcome, a battlefield to conquer or a loss to get over at.
We walk with a proud expression, heads up and nose high up in the air with a smile that indicated that our life couldn't be any better. But it is in such situations that we should realize, understand and accept the unbelievable fact that everyone around us, no matter how content they look, is also fighting a monster.
A monster with a different, ugly face, yeta monster all along.
