The powerful, deep voice of the male obviously startled the child, as she jumped up and cowered in fear by the door. As if she was trying not to be seen by the person inside. That's when Katie saw it. It was 7ft tall. Dark eyes the size of bottle tops. A smirk was played upon the creatures face - Katie felt she was being generous by calling it that. The shadowy figure ceased it's yelling. The smirk, unsettled, both Katie and the little girl who had fear painted across her face. Suddenly the creature vanished, and the little girl noticed it before Katie.

As Katie gazed upon the door, she felt a hand press down on her shoulder. She swung around, and before she could stop herself, she slapped the person behind her. "Ouch... What was that for?" The saddened face of the pale girl stood before Katie, shaking. "Oh, I'm so sorry hun. I thought... well... I thought you were someone else." The little girl looked up at Katie curiously and suddenly broke out it a genuinely happy smile. "Oh," The girl giggled quietly "Did you think I was my mommy?" Katie, half expecting her to disappear mid-conversation, looked at her slightly dazed by her response. "Who is your mommy?" The little girl suddenly filled with fear before glancing about nervously, "I have to go, daddy's back home."  The girl ran through the closed fence and started playing out in the snow once again. "What... no," Katie remarked, but the little girl just ignored her. Or maybe she couldn't hear her. For, after all, Katie couldn't hear the girl shifting the snow about, and she clearly was, Katie could see through the small gap in the fence. She didn't have time to ponder over the works of a fence she thought to herself. But she had to help her family, and she may just have a perfect idea.

Katie picked up the planks of thick firewood encrusted with moss. She set them up against the fence, blocking the gate. Testing her theory, did she just imagine that the girl waltzed through the closed gate or was there something magical with the fence? Katie pondered this thought, as she kicked the gate as hard as she could, causing the gate to shake and shudder. The girl trudged up to the fence and once again, walked through it and the planks of wood Katie had set up stayed still, as the girl shot her a perplexed look. "Why did you do that?" The girl mumbled. Katie remarked about the girls' ability to walk through the fences. The girl looked confused, but realization dawned upon her face as she spoke with an air of professionalism. "My name is Time, That's why I can do that, What's your name?"

Katie stopped. Time? As in Time, like a clock? Like space and time? Not just some hip name her mother had given her? Katie stood there and thought before answering her question "M-mm-My Name is K-Katie," she managed to stammer out. Well, the little girl being time, made sense. She was able to walk through objects. That strange creature was in her house. She even - Her thoughts were again interrupted by the girl talking once more "Do you need something, I feel like you need something," Katie looked up at the girl in surprise, "Y-yes actually I do," Katie spoke composing herself. "There's something wrong with my family and I don't know how to fix it," Katie sadly spoke. The girl smiled and laughed "Oh, don't look so sad! I can fix them!" Katie's eyes widened "Really? Oh please do, can you do it now?" The girl shook her head "No, not now. It doesn't work that way, only the girl who can fix them now is my sister," Time spoke, obviously disappointed Katie started yelling slightly "Well, why the hell can't you get your sister to sort this mess out, I don't have a lot of time for this," Time pulled a face, and smiled sadly "My sister doesn't live here, she lives in the human world," Her face scrunched up as she desperately tried to compose herself. Katie felt a twinge of pity for the girl and asked again how they could do it without her sister, not wanting to upset the girl further, she disregarded the fact that the girl said "Human World". Time suddenly beamed and spoke loudly once again "Well, we could find my sister! Oh, I'd love to see her again, You see because I'm not like her, I've only ever seen her as a baby, she was given to a family when she was a baby."
